Hi, my name is Joanne. Otherwise, known as jgal(on Fictionpress), xiaoj on and Jgal87 on AO3. I'm a 25 year old female, going on to 26 in November. I enjoy animes/mangas, writing and reading fanfictions. I have been writing since 2002, I enjoy reading fanfictions of any fandom as long as I've watched/read the anime/manga/drama before.

I'm working in a music school as their front desk receptionist cum admin associate, I'm a business studies graduate from ITE (Vocational Institution) in the fields of Business Administration. I also plays the flute, but I did not persevere all the way to the advance level. I hold a pass in ABRSM Graded Exam in Flute for Grade 1, and flunk a few points below the passing margin for Grade 2 (I was sick on the day of examination). I also got a Merit for my Grade 3 Theory Exam, I completed Grade 4 Theory Syllabus but had yet to start on my Grade 5.

1. Boys Before Flowers: GaBin Fic...AU, What if a twenty six years old Chu Ga Eul woke up in her sixteen year old self one day...? What happened then, would she still be attracted to So Yi Jeong? Would she be up for the task to go after the well-known casanova, or would she attempt to stay where she is? What happened if she managed to catch the attention of Don Juan?

2. La Corda D'Oro: Yunoki x Kahoko fic... not decided on plot yet. Set outside of Seiso Gakuen Time-line, most likely.

3. VK Prequel: Haven't really started planning...

4. Special A: Yahiro x Megumi fic, either multi-part or one-shot depending on muse and mood if I do attempt to write

5. Ghost Hunt: Prequel to current fic, focusing on the friendship between Eugene Davis and Taniyama Mai.

6. Boys Before Flowers: SoEul Fic, AU...Applying the 'What If' Hypothesis again. What happened if something tragical happen to Ga Eul, and Yi Jeong only realized his love for the girl a little too late? When they both wakes up being 16 and 17 again, with their adults memories intact...how will the story of BBF turns out this time around? Would Yi Jeong be able to woo back his love? Would Ga Eul gives the infamous Casanova another chance at fixing their relationship?

1. Apologies going out to all readers of Embracing the Future, I kind of lost my plot plan. So I have absolutely no idea how to carry on the fic, I might be able to squeeze out Chapter 8 since I have a general idea of what it is going to be like. However, beyond that I'm at a total loss. I will be traveling overseas in 3 days time, so probably can only try to squeeze out Chapter 8 after I got back. No guarantees yet though, since I have no idea how to continue on the story. I will however, try to make an effort to see if I can recall what was my initial plan for this particular story and work it out from then on. In the meantime, I have to focus my attention on my Chinese series.

20 Nov 2016 - Hiatus still, but am working slowly on my current fics at hand. OLOD is an eyesore sitting on my usb drive, so I decided to finish posting it. Just posted another 10 chapters from 21 to 30, total length of this fic is 49. Will probably takes 2 more rounds before completing the posting. Was helping Tyler on proof-reading his Nagi no Asukara fic - The Gift of Ena recently.

07 Mar 2017 - Hiatus for majority of the fics, but slowly getting back into writing. New Fic on Yuri on Ice, Stop, Pause and Rewind: Butterfly Effects is now up on FFN. The fic is cross posted to AO3 which is where I'll do the main updates for this series. 12 Mar 2017 - Updated 'The ups & down in the life of Taniyama Mai' with Chapter 15. Yes, that's right I'd updated it... but not sure when Chapter 16 will be ready, it's still in WIP as of current. Priority given to SPR:Butterfly Effects.

12 Mar 2017 - Updated 'Stop, Pause and Rewind: Butterfly Effects' with Chapter 11 - 15, it is now on pace with AO3. If nothing goes wrong, FFN gets the update at end of the week, namely Sunday night (SG time). So the next update will probably be next week, and mass upload again.

6th July 2019 - Back after 2 years... updated Chapter 16 of The ups and down in the life of Taniyama Mai. Chapter is hot from the oven, just managed to finish it. Beta-ed using Grammarly software, so don't expect too much of my grammar. This writers' block has been bugging me for years, and I'm proud to say I've finally survived it - at least it wouldn't bugged me for the next few chapters? Hopefully, crossed fingers and hoped.

15th July 2019 - Chapter 17 to 19 of 'The ups and down in the life of Taniyama Mai' is up! Have been working earnestly on this fic over the past few days. Proof-reading done via Grammarly, free version so its' not completely error-free. My Deviant Art account has finally been put to use, it now comprises of floor-plans I drew for this fic, and also the family tree mentioned in Chapter 3 of this fic - it's also up in the Deviant Art account in Scraps gallery.
