I was enamored by the entire thing from the very beginning! I love the suspense you're building, and the whole ordeal with the notebook and the mysterious ghost girl is seriously making my head whirl. I hope they manage to figure it out sooner! The only thing I'm still sort of ambivalent about is the outright hateful relationship Mai and Naru seem to have. I know it's understandable for Mai to developed this hatred for Naru when he left and destroyed her SPR family, though it's somewhat OOC, but it's still somewhat difficult to wrap my head around why Naru seems to equally hate Mai as much. I know he's afraid of his feelings, but he is outright scathing! I hope these two come to an understanding soon, especially if Sadao is ever reintroduced again . Naru would probably puncture a blood vessel! LOL. Anyway, you write them all so wonderfully well that I can accept the difference in personalities because underneath it all, I can still see snippets of their canon personality. Im looking forward to your next chapters!

Yes it is very annoying. The plot is a good one. The characters are good also. However there is way too much internal self dialog. You have us inside the characters heads constantly which creates impatience. This makes readers wonder when the hell you are going to get to the point. You are over using metaphors, and all that inner reflection sounds like everyone is tripping. It is fine technically, but it would be better if you had more activity, and less tedious arguments and dialog. Thanks.

I abosulutoy love the Mai and Naru interaction!they are so hilarious and adorable!Poor Lin has to handle their antics as usual.I actually kind of suspected the girl to be a ghost,especially after what she said when Mai left,but anyways I cant wait until the next chapter!

Wow! It's been forever! I'm glad that you updated. From what you've told me, you struggled writing this one, but I can't really tell. I can sort of see where you faltered (writing from Naru's perspective when encountering an entity that he can't even see), but honestly, that made this chapter all the more interesting. It makes things far more creepier because in reality, sometimes we can't see the demons that haunt us. Fighting the invisible is more terrifying than physically seeing what goes bump in the night. Good job! Keep up the great work and update when you can.

Woaaaaaaah. Out of all the GH fanfics I have read, this is the most creepy and scariest of them all. I'm currently readibg it at 3am and finished at 4am. This is seriousky daebak. Even I felt a little paranoid. I wonder when Naru will be honest of his feelings. I hope he won't start seeing and hearing things too. *_*

writing style, just that Mai and Naru are finally talking - though, in all honesty, I totally
get why Mai wouldn't do so at first, Naru's been an incredible jerk (good job by portraying him
exactly like he is in the manga). Sometimes I really can't tell if Naru is sincerely worried for Mai, he
definitely hides it very well...
Poor Mai she will probably be caught between Lin and Naru's silent treatment and Naru insulting or annoying her most of the time. Does she still have any of her old (crush) feelings for Naru?
As for Hoshou's leave, maybe he's getting the others to come to Mai's aid as well?

It is nice to see that have have finally updated your story after such a long time! I must admit that I was rather anxious waiting for it and it was well worth it! Despite what you may think, this was a very lovely chapter. Not lovely in the literal sense (for it was completely disheartening and sad) but lovely due to the way in which it was written. The dialogue between Naru and Mai was spot on! The banter between them was electric and completely plausible, something I have learned to appreciate, especially when it's as well written as this! As you already know, you've brought these characters to life unlike other authors in this genre, so good on you, my friend! Keep up the great work!

Yes! About time Mai finally accepted some help, well at least i hope Naru is going to be helpful... Had to reread some parts of the story again to get my memory going but im starting to think that this story is not going to end anytime soon. Im afraid this mystery is just getting more and more confusing to me XD Its alright though, as Houshou once said "Patience is a virtue" Update soon! Hoping for some more Mai and Naru parts as well ;)

This story is very very original ,the journal and what it holds,Naru coming back using some lame excuse of a conference and Mai falling apart a bit and Sadao is a good boyfriend (I feel bad for him being in the hospital though) but I'm more of a Mai and Naru person xD all this is very creative and I'm glad you put it down into this wonderful story
Anyways I can't wait for the next chapter

WOW! I wish I read this sooner but sadly I forgot about it.. I really enjoyed this chapter and the way you set everything up. I could tell that you probably sat down for awhile and planned a lot of this chapter. This is definitely one of my favourite chapters so far so UPDATE! I just have one question though, if Mai injured Sadou with a vase then how did she get injured exactly? I'm just assuming that it was an evil entity or something.. Also the way Mai is acting towards the journal is interesting as well.. Maybe she could start referring to it as 'her journal' or even 'their journal'.. Just to make it creepier! Love this chapter!

This is really starting to remind me of Unlucky, a FF written by VivaEdina. The story line's are not alike at all but both are really confusing and sound crazy in a way. Both are also amazing and although this isnt completed yet, i get the feeling it will end in a bittersweet way, but then again i might be wrong. I dont have finals but thank god its the last year for me to take the state tests, they are such a pain. Looking forward to the next chapter, and i have to say that i love the mystery!

I must admit that I really enjoy how dark this story is. What's even more startling is how you've managed to do this in a believable way. A lot of people in this fandom try a similar approach and end up failing, mainly because they aren't able to remain true to its characters. Think of it this way: Mai is generally upbeat, optimistic, and cheerful. It would take something of a significant magnitude to shake the strength of her will, and you've managed to do that. You've also taken your time as well, approaching the "downfall" of her moral code in a more realistic way. I appreciate this a lot.

Because of these successes, this chapter ended up being one of your best. It may have not been the most "action packed" chapter we've seen as of late, but it contributed a lot to Mai's character, even Naru's to some extent. As stated before, it makes Mai's fall from her previous lifestyle much more interesting, as well as emphasizing the fact that she's only going to get worse due to the influence of the journal.
