I do like the story idea. However, I find that some things are hard to understand. First of all: Why did Snape torture her in a way that brought her that close to death in the first place? He couldn't save her by ordinary healing potions because of the blood loss, which he had caused! Surely, he could have used a non-life-threatening torture or come up with his idea before he tortured her at all?

Secondly, I find Hermione's and Snape's reaction on finding themselves back at Hogwarts puzzling. Snape is a bit insensitive, but the way he acted was incredibly stupid, even for someone as bad with other people as him. Hurting her again instead of trying to calm and reassure her?

And Hermione, on fleeing her torturer's chambers goes to take a long shower in order to forget about being tortured to near death and threatened by the very same person again, instead of running to McGonagall or any other teacher and scream for help on top of her lungs?

Snape, up to here, is really a git. No wonder no one likes him.
