One day I'd like to participate in a chorus battle (like the Magia District Battle or Serendipity Chorus Battle, to give examples of what I mean by a chorus battle), but I suspect that's not a feasible dream, lol (but it's fine because I'm just as happy following and fangirling over such battles).

Why I write

As a way of expressing myself and communicating something I feel, when I am unable to do so through conventional means A way of venting emotions For the sheer fun of it. To explore different possibilities-AUs, characters thoughts, general concepts, the aftermath of a series' events etc.. To contribute to the fandoms I really like, and to give love to the characters and pairings I adore.

What sort of fanfictions do I (tend to) write?

Drabbles-both for shippings and non-romantic, and some as a sort of character study. I do like fluff, but I tend to go for a mood that is introspective/reflective and occasionally melancholy.
Epilogue/Prologue style fics-very long, sprawling stories that chart the years after the end of a particular series/ particular chain of events within a series, or that lead up to the beginning of the series. Usually these are in the form of oneshots, but I have a few that are two to three parters. I have a thing for aftermaths, though, so I have written more Epilogue-style things than Prologue-style things.
SYOCs- I've done one for Danganronpa, one for Assassination Classroom, and I currently have two for Danganronpa in progress and plan on writing one more.
Poetry. Free-verse, and sometimes rambly, but still definitely poetry

05/05: 'What on earth is Our Ghosts Return?' I may hear you asking. Well, if you don't know already, you will just have to wait and see! I'm hoping to have it up and running between 10th and 12th May, if not then during the last week of the month! Keep your eyes peeled!
22/05:Thank you for the submissions so far! I am so grateful for the ones that I have got, but overall it's not many. I know it's a long deadline and still relatively early days, but I'd definitely be grateful for more to come in.
Also, I'm gonna possibly allow a few more Victim submissions than initially planned. I will also allow maybe one Victim-Victim duo as well as those who are duos with OCs of other roles (though I'd prefer the latter).However, it is still a 'special' role that you will need to request one way or another, as per original rules.
02/06:As you can see, I'm gradually beginning to accept characters now. Congrats to these people, and if you're not one of them, don't worry-as long as spots for your roles are still open, you are in with a chance, no matter when you sent them!
30/6: I've made some more cast selections! As said in the sneaky, the next selections will be made much closer to original deadline. But anyway, while you can still send any type of character you want, I'd personally prefer not getting any father-daughter duos for now, and I'd be interested in seeing some male Victims or Survivors. But yeah, keep them coming :)
19/07: I'd prefer not to get any more SHSL Talents relating to the arts/media/performance anymore (regardless of whether they are Survivor, Victim or Prospective), but anything else goes as long as it doesn't break the rules that are in the prologue. Also for Investigators, I would prefer not to have any whose roles are similar to the two I have already accepted.
21/7: The deadline is going to have another extension, by one week, so the new deadline is the 28th July. The thing about 'as long as it's that date in your timezone' thing still applies if you are in a later timezone to me, but yeah, the new, and FINAL deadline is the 28th. I will not be extending it after this.
As for things I am looking for, mostly I will know it when I see it, but also I am interested in potentially receiving Survivors who were more on the side of the promise made and who may even have suggested it. That, and the various preferences about characters I would like to get/not get as above still apply.
28/7: Not really an important status update, but it is 10:30 in the morning here and I would just like to let you all know that there are so many amazing Survivors it's gonna be so hard to choose them!
29/7: As you can see, the submissions are closed and I am slowly working on choosing final cast members. Thanks so much to all of you who submitted! I will reveal the proper cast lists as soon as I can!
02/08-With the exception of a couple of Victims, the cast is basically complete now. Thank you so, so much to everyone who did take the time and effort to submit-I appreciate it all, and I am sorry if you didn't make it-it got pretty tricky to choose towards the end!
There will obviously be a bit of a teething period while I get into the rhythm of this story, but the general aim is that both this story and ASIB will update roughly once a month each. This might increase during school holiday times though. But of course, if there is going to be a foreseeable situation where I might not be able to update either for a very long time, then I will put it either as a status update here or for the ASIB updates just underneath here. Either way, I hope you'll enjoy this story too!
20/09-In terms of actual writing, this fic is going to go on the backburner for a while as I've been neglecting ASIB for a while and that's unfair to the story and the readers of the story. But, what I will do is start to make chapter-to-chapter plans for OGR to make things easier for once I do start actually writing it again (probs during October half-term). However, this is going to be somewhat slowed by the fact I am starting my retake placement on Monday and as such I will be busy and tired.

28/9-As you can see, I've made the first set of selections of those who will join my cast! Well done and thanks to those who got in, but if you aren't one of those, never fear, your chance could come later! Anyway, at this stage, though in general I really do need more submissions, I shall have to ask you to not send me any more female SHSLs of any year group. Female Reserve Course students are fine, as are male and NB ones, but if you want to send me an SHSL please go for male or NB.
07/10-A small second selection has been made, so well done and thank you again to those two! The same criteria of what sort of characters I still need is basically the same as my previous status update but it would be nice to start receiving female Reserve Course students in particular. Also, though I do technically have a protag now, please do still answer the question about whether your OC would be a good protag, as that still tells me something about the character that I can use, especially considering that my story format switches between POVs.
21/10-The cast has increased by another two, hooray!! While I won't say no to any female reserve course submissions, on the whole I'd probably prefer getting more males and/or nonbinary OCs at this point.
26/10-Nearly there, and with three spots left, there's a few updates to be made:
- First, I would only accept one more character with an SHSL (who preferably is in first year), I will be placing higher priority on receiving Reserve Course students (any year fine but I have a preference for first here as well). Gender preferences are the same as the previous update on 21/10
-Second, the deadline will also be extended by a week, so until the 4th of November, with a specific time of 10pm UK time. I hope that helps some people.
4/11-The SYOC is now closed, with a caveat. My laptop battery has wiped itself out, and though I can use it without a battery while plugged in, I'm not comfortable using it like that for long periods of time. So, if your submission is in progress (I've messaged said people, so they should know who they are) you have a grace period up until 9PM UK time tomorrow (5/11), but no more new submissions please. After that, the submissions are completely closed and over the course of the week I will chose the final cast members. The number of which will now be three, as since some really good submissions have come in I've had trouble choosing so the total cast number is now 14.
9/11-And now, after what feels like a zillion years, the cast is finally filled!!! Thank you so, so much to everyone who submitted. I had a hard time choosing for the final spots, so don't feel too disheartened if you didn't get in. Anyway, I will post a cast list here...eventually. And I hope from here on out, you will enjoy the rest of the story!
