You're Many Things, Karma

Sometimes Karma was childish. You think he'd learn to act like an adult at the age of twenty one, but...

"Pleeeeassseeee?" the red-haired man wrapped his arms around me, keeping me from walking down the aisle any further.

"Karma, how many times do I have to say it? I'm not going to buy a cosplay outfit for your birthday."

"Are you suure?" he drawls, taking the elastic from my braid and running his fingers through my hair.

Sometime's he's persuasive.

"Karma enough." I say firmly. "You're acting like a child."

"A cute child." he murmurs, kissing my cheek.

He's also cheeky.

"No." I sigh, acting stubbornly, trying to ignore his actions.

"Ma-na-mi." I can practically hear the smile in his voice as he kisses up from my cheeks to my ear between syllables. "It's my birthday. I thought you said you were going to make it special~"

Manipulative.

"I am," I say quietly, pushing him away from me, I turn around to face him, my face burning. "But sorry for you, I already have a surprise for you at home."

"Oh?" he raises an eyebrow and bends down so he's level with me. "Well I can't wait to find out what it is, Toxic Glasses." He gives me a quick kiss on the lips before grabbing my hand and ushering me out of the store. It takes a minute for us to get to the car, and five minutes to get to the house.

He's a little impatient sometimes.

"So, where is it?" he asks, sitting on the sofa once we get home. He looks around, his eyes bright.

He's easy to excite.

He's curios.

He's absolutely adorable.

He's many things.

"Right.. just a minute." I say, taking off my coat and going into my office.

I'm nervous.

Excited.

Scared.

Over-joyed.

So many things.

I come back and I give to him an envelope. I gulp nervously, watching as he opens it and takes out the pictures.

"Hm? This is.. Manami.." he looks up from the pictures and stands up. "Are you serious?"

"Yes..." I say shakily, wiping away a few tears from my eyes. "I went to the doctor last week."

He hugs me tightly, and spins me around the room, laughing and wiping away my tears. "So I'm going to be a dad!"

"Yes, you're going to be a dad, and I'm.. I'm going to be a mom." I smile up at him.

"We're going to be a family," He kisses my face, and he smiles joyfully. "This is the best Birthday gift you could give me."

"You're many things Karma.. you're selfish, smart, kind, devilish, cute, the best husband, the worst singer.." I smile as he looks at me offended at the last one. "And I think.. you're going to be the best dad."

He kisses me and says, "Well you're going to be the best mom. And our child, no, our children will be the best."

"I think we need to talk about the plural first." I say skeptically.

We both laugh and sit down on the couch together. I know, we're many things, we're prepared and we aren't for the future.. But, I'm sure we're going to overcome everything we have to face. Together.
