Author has written 72 stories for Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls. For Readers of my WIP stories My goal is to rotate updates. It's not going to be 100% sometimes writers block gets in the way it or another story gives me muse. Update rotation:
on another note. I will welcome flames and here's why. I can't very well ask for no flames when i believe that all those people who ask for no flames and complain to their readers about flamers are stupid. There will always be flames. I haven't had one yet, but i expect I will. You are making the concious choice to share your work. yes, it is intimate and very dear, but a lot of people on here don't write well and should be told that so they can either learn, or stop, maybe find something they love as much but are better at. Also, because you are putting it on a site where you know people can review, you must accept that people are cruel. It only makes it worse to sit there and say something. I would post about flamers in my stories or author notes, except i think that will draw attenetion. Though whoever my first flame is, they will get a mention. I went through a twilight phase, but let's not focus on that mental relapse. I saw someone share their story for reading harry potter, and wanted to share mine: Quite a while ago, a woman living a pretty tough life wrote a book about a young boy finding the perfect escape from a pretty awful life. I had never even heard of it. Well, not until the first movie came out, but i had no clue it was a book series. I went to go see it, and of course immeadiately loved it. and then the second movie came out and once again, I went to see it, but i hated the spiders. By the time the third or fourth had come out, my mother had met my step-father and he knew the series. So before I could see the next movie, i had to read all of the books up to at least the one before it. I was upset but agreed because i was in desperate need of seeing the series continue. One of my friends in 6th grade went and told me that Snape killed Dumbledor and I was mad. The act itself did not shock me, it was simply him spoiling it, since I knew i'd be getting there eventually. Alas, the fifth movie came around and I found myself grounded. I was upset, knowing that I wouldn't get to see it in theaters like I always had. But instead of letting it get to me I read the fourth book, and found myself finally so enthraled that within in the next week I had finished the whole series. And In fact I believe I read it again. I even ended up getting to see it in theaters. The same with movie six, but by now i was noticing that things they cut that made me mad. And I was supposed to see part one of 7 at midnight, but i had a test and it ended up screwing over my teacher because she was going to as well. and part 2 i saw at 12:10 am the day it came out. Ever since that first movie, I have loved harry potter. Ever since reading the books, He and his friends, especially Hermione, became a part of my life. I have seen a person who says that everything that Rowling has released since the books ended should be counted as fanon, not actual fact. I find that very disrespectful to Rowling. What she's says happened, is in fact what happened. This is her story, and therefore, what she says is CANON. But that's why we have fanfiction. We can mold the world in the ways we wish. But this is Rowling's story, and we must accept her decisions (I was beyond elated when she announced that she was wrong to pair Ron and Hermione). It's her world, her heart, and her soul. There will always be questions, and she has answers. Like Moaning Myrtle's real name. So how about we all respect her decisions as a writer and be thankful that she allows us to write fanfiction at all. I am again partaking in The Quidditch League Fanfiction Competition.
