Author has written 3 stories for Naruto, and Pokémon. Hey, Welcome to my profile. I am a 21 year old university student so I personally don't have a lot of free time, but I try to get any time I can to read the stories on this site XD. Also, I love the expression XD. It's like my signature. So there will be a lot of that. Also, because I have been asked before, I'm a guy. Yep, for real. Surprise! XD I live in Canada, and I like snowboarding, gaming off and on (I loved it more when I didn't have university studies looming over me XD), reading manga or stories, and paintball (when it's affordable) Mangas read: If i actually listed them, my profile would be waaaay too long. Lets just say lots of every genre, except gag mangas, can't stand them -_- My only real problem with them is that they don't always have a set storyline, like... Hajime no Ippo. He's trying to be a great boxer, great, there's the story. Gag mangas just do really pointless stuff a lot, which I don't really like reading. Favorite Manga (in order from high to low): The Breaker (Technically a Manhwa, but still crazy as shit XD), One Piece, Bleach, Mahou Sensei Negima (Though the ending wasn't too great), Rosario Vampire, Sekirei, Hajime no Ippo, Bakuman(Ending was cheesy but overall not bad XD), History's strongest Disciple, Cradle of Monsters, Naruto (Though Sasuke is beginning to test my patience with his bipolar-like attitude) and others XD Anime watched: Bleach, Naruto, One piece (the obvious ones I guess), Busou Renkin (awesome, loved it, Papillon made my day XD), Gundam SEED, Desitiny, 00 (obviously love Gundam XD), Rosario Vampire, Angel Beats, Clannad (This show actually made me cry. I know I probably lose masculinity points for this but whatever, I dare someone to watch that show for the first time without crying XD), Sword Art Online, Usagi Drop (I switched to the manga halfway through though XD) Oh, I actually hate fillers with a passion. Most of the time I skip right over them in animes, it's also a part of the reason I don't watch the first three listed above anymore. I don't really know what it is about them that bothers me. They just do. So any sort of filler character mentioned or plot taken from fillers I simply won't get, since I never watch them :P A Random Train of Thought that's been bothering me Lately: So as is obvious from this page, I love Harry Potter Fanfiction. However recently I've been seeing one major theme in a lot of fanfiction that's started to bother me and I realize it's because of how JKR wrote it that it's come to annoy me. When Lily sacrifices herself to save Harry as a baby, her sacrifice becomes protection for him from Voldemort, just as Harry's sacrifice partially protects everyone at Hogwarts in the last book. Simply Canon fact, right? Am I the only one who finds it unlikely that Lily was the only person in the world who'd ever sacrificed themselves for their child, loved one, or family? What got me to think about this recently is the amount of fics that showcase Lily's sacrifice. It annoys me because now that I think about it, JKR sort of makes the sacrifices made by so many others worthless by making Lily's so special. Why wasn't James' sacrifice added to Harry as well? Why wasn't it on Lily? He died to protect them, didn't he? He basically faced a suicide mission for them, just as Lily jumped in between Harry and Voldemort for Harry, right? So why was it that Lily's sacrifice is the only one mentioned? What about other mothers, other fathers, who have allowed themselves to be killed for their children? Considering how big a terror the Death Eaters were described to be and how bad Grindelwald was supposed to be before that I refuse to believe that not a single person in the entirety of Europe decided that someone elses life was more important than theirs. It just annoys me that so much emphasis is put on Lily. It makes everyone else's death seem so unimportant in comparison. Lily's 'great' sacrifice had basically been done only moments earlier by James. Yet so many people hate James because of the fact he bullied Snape. Big deal, Snape was just as big a bully. He wasn't some poor, innocent teenager who was being picked on for being a 'nerd' or something, he was just as big a bully back to James and the others. Yet James managed to overcome his bullying ways (I assume so anyway, since Lily ends up loving him), managed to fight Death Eaters as a member of the Order, managed to defy Voldemort three times, and dies in a moment of self sacrifice so his wife and child can get away. Yet his sacrifice is not mentioned a single time in the books and it just annoys me. I simply find it annoying that Lily seems to have this wonderful gift of being able to protect someone if she dies for them, while so many others (I refuse to believe that the world is heartless enough that no other parent, child, sibling, or lover would sacrifice themselves for someone) have their sacrifices meaning practically nothing. To anyone reading Buried Feelings: So, I doubt anyone will actually come check this but hey, what the hell right? So originally a lot of events happened that kept stopping me from posting the next chapter. Now? I'm just so pissed at the manga that I can't get a good muse going. There are so many things that annoy me with the current situation in the manga. One, why does Kishi keep undermining characters? A good example is Sakura. Sakura worked her ass off for three years, trained with Tsunade, learned medical ninjutsu, and *spoiler* stored up chakra in that crystal thing for three years, something Shizune can't even do *Spoiler End*. So what happens when she shows off this strength that she struggled and clawed to gain? She knocks out a few people then gets saved by Sasuke and Naruto. And so in the end, people still hate her cause she's weak. And she is, but only cause Kishi keeps making her that way. Another thing is fucking Sasuke. Not only have I never really been a fan of his, but Naruto's constant obsession with him (Sakura too, though she at least understood at one point that maybe he should have been killed) and his wishy-washy resolve (which, by definition, shouldn't be wishy-washy) piss me off. Seriously, Sasuke said to Itachi that he was going to destroy the village. Whatever, he's evil, he wants to kill everyone, fine. Then, like 20 chapters later he hears a story from the hokages and all of a sudden he wants to become Hokage? (Also, that love tumor thing of his, where Uchiha love too much and that turns into hate... what the fuck???) Finally, Naruto. Yeah, Naruto annoys me now. He's strong and all that, but it's like ever since Team 7 formed (minus everything to do with Sasuke) Naruto hasn't had any hardship in his life. I know he has, I'm just saying that's what he acts like. He didn't even react when Sasuke just showed up out of nowhere and said "I'm going to be Hokage!" Seriously, what the fuck? Also, he hasn't worked for his strength since Sage Mode. I mean, every one always hates on Sakura because she's weak, but really compared to normal people, Sakura is strong as hell. They also forget that she's a fucking medic. So someone with her strength as a medic is ridiculous enough already. What does this have to do with Naruto? Well the reason Sakura looks so damned weak is because she's always being compared to Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi (at times). They're all strong as hell and the only one who put anywhere near as much effort into his training was Kakashi. Sasuke did train, but most of his ninjutsu knowledge comes from his sharingan and he uses that in battle mostly anyway. Naruto only really trained to get the Rasenshuriken, the Rasengan, the Kage Bunshin, and Sage mode. He didn't train to control the Kyuubi (That's another issue altogether -_-) and while he could have died (I think) while fighting to control the Kyuubi, Sakura had boulders thrown at her everyday for 2 years while Sasuke had huge 1v100 sound shinobi fights. It annoys me that Naruto doesn't work for his strength, not in the way that others do who get overshadowed. Favorite Authors: Okay, seeing as I have like... 500 favorite stories on this site, I figured that I should mention which authors I actually feel are my favorite as well as some of the best. At least, I feel like they are the best XD Well, I have favorite authors for different categories. First off, in general: Digifruit - A great author whose written quite a few stories. I like the ones they've written for both Naruto and Harry Potter and they are always very interesting and original. I love his/her/whatever (XD) creativity and the sort of artistic style their stories take on. 'Do you Remember Love' is a particular favorite of mine and one I will always remember. LittleMissAfflicted - Okay, so she hasn't written much that I've read. However both of the stories I've read, one for Fairy Tail and one for One Piece, are great stories and are possibly my favorite one shots on the site XD They were actually some of the first ones I read that were 'lemons' and I feel that most lemons actually don't match up to be honest XD They are sensual, flow well, and have just the right amount of humor. DOTMW - This author has written a few things that I haven't really looked at. However, his stories The Sound of Falling Rain and Digimon Unlimited: Rise of the Demon Lords are both among my top 15 favorite stories. They haven't updated in a while unfortunately but still, they are a great author and they still easily make it into my favorite authors XD Harry Potter: Romantic Silence - Romantice Silence is an author who likes to focus on the relationship between Harry and Hermione. It could be their friendship, exploring the possible romantic relationship they could have or something similar. Either way, his (I think they're male XD) stories are also among my favorites. I especially like By the Fireside. It's a great story and I recomend it to any Harry/Hermione fans. JBern - This is a new one. JBern is the author of the popular 'The Lie I've lived' and 'To fight the Coming Darkness'. While I don't like the way he portrays Hermione at times in his stories (As she was honestly my favorite character in the series. I value loyalty and she has it in spades XD), he is also one of the greatest Harry Potter fanfiction authors I've ever seen. His stories have depth, realistic character development (even more so than JKR did for some of them) and he is one of the few authors I've seen who can come up with a 'super Harry' with an actual plotline and development. Dragon Age: Rose Tinted Contact Lenses - So this author mostly writes for Dragon Age and Mass Effect. Basically anything from Bioware XD They have a great imagination and I find that, like Digifruit, they're really good at coming up with ideas that most people don't think of. Unfortunately, now they're 'retired'. May the fanfiction world weep for their loss (Don't even ask where that line came from XD). Digimon: TaioraWarrior - So, this author hasn't actually posted anything in a while. Still, I think that they have great stories and I feel like they are really good at expressing the feelings of the characters XD His development between Tai and Sora especially always gets to me. TheOmegaMan - Another Taiora fan (notice a pattern? XD) and another fav (obviously). He comes up with unique ideas for his stories and is really good at keeping his characters like in canon, which a lot of people either fail or don't care to do. He also has a unique way of writing, one not seen very often. aarandomguy227 - Yet another Taiora fan. He is a good author as well and another of the major Taiora writers. His stories are similar to TheOmegaMan's in that they are unique and characters act like in canon, which impresses me XD He is also very creative, especially with character attacks, enemies, and just plot in general. He is probably one of the more creative authors I've ever seen. Favorite Pairings (in no particular order): Bleach: Ichiruki Naruto: Narusaku - So, I guess I should start off with mentioning that I hate both Sasusaku and Narusasu (Or whatever it's called). It's weird. Seriously. I mean, even the team 7 idea, where they get back together and become a team makes more sense than this. Sasuke has tried to kill them. You don't just forgive people for that without any sort of proof that you can trust them. Plus, even if you do, let me be clear. Things will never be the same. You'll probably never forget the fact that at one point, the guy was holding a blade to your throat, ready to end you. It's not something that goes away. Sasuxwhatever fans often ignore this, acting like it just never happened, and that pisses me off. And Naruto and Sakura have had some great moments together in the series, ignoring that Land of Iron scene (I seriously don't know what Kishi was thinking with that one...). I love the dynamics between the two of them. So yeah, I support Narusaku XD I guess I should also mention, I don't really believe in the whole Team 7 back together idea. Sasuke's just done too much. And I know I admit to hating his guts later on, but honestly, he has a mental problem. And I actually mean he literally has a mental problem. Like, a complex or some shit. I mean, how can someone say the shit he has, without something like that? I also now have a generally low opinion of all Uchihas since finding out who the fake Madara was. I won't write the name, in respect for those who don't know yet and don't want to know till you watch or read it, but that person was probably the only Uchiha I liked and now we see them as the evil villain. It just did not help my image of any Uchiha XD Narutema -I didn't like this until I started exploring this site a little XD It's just an interesting pair. I think the reason I like this is because there is just no real way of this happening. It's just not realistic at this point so it's fun to explore the possibilities XD ShizuNaru -Same as above XD FMA: Royai (Finally learned the name for this) EdxWinry (I know there's a name for this, I just like this better) Digimon: Taiora - I liked their interactions. I know they were only really supposed to be friendship but I thought it had good potential to be developed. Mimixanyone - She is able to belong anywhere. Except with Tai. Look up one line to find out why. Wow, that rhymed. Sort of :D Takari (I actually think that this couple is 'perfect' but also that they are really boring. I mean, Davis never even had a chance, in my opinion anyway -.-) YoshinoxMarcus -Mostly because it reminds me of Taiora, don't ask why. Rukato -Haha, I actually just read few stories with them as a couple (started with a Taiora story actually XD) and I found I enjoyed reading stories with this couple. It's cute I guess XD her awkwardness socially mixed with his awkwardness in general is just... cute I guess. Gundam Seed: CagallixAthrun -meh, it's alright. Honestly, before the whole revealing about being his sister, I would have totally said Kira and Cagalli. Unfortunately, as previously stated, they're siblings. Boo. ShinnxLuna (I know, I know, Stella and him belong, whatever, but I thought it was good and completely logical given the circumstances. Not like another certain pairing I made mention of a few lines up *Cough* Sorato *Cough* XD) Um, now don't take this the wrong way or anything, but I like reading some stories with Kira/Cagalli. Now before anyone goes "OMG! What are you saying?" I don't actually support this sort of thing in real life. However, it does make for some very interesting situations. I mean seriously, they actually had really good chemistry before the whole revealing happened. I was actually convinced they were going to end up together. Then Bam! they're siblings and I was like "WTF?!?!". Can you imagine the drama though? XD Pokemon (I know, I can't believe it either): AAML - I believed it would happen when I was 6 (yes, Pokemon is really that old) and I still believe it should when I'm friggin 20 (God I'm old. Where have the years gone?) -.- Not that I would know if it did, since I don't watch the show anymore. But still! One Piece: Luna (I just read a story one day and I actually really like the idea. I also find the idea possible, so that always helps XD) Harry Potter: Harry/Hermione - Gah, I can't stand the idea of Ron/Hermione or... *shudder* anyslytherin/Hermione. The slytherin thing should be obvious... cause it's not realistic. The Ron/Hermione thing though... here, Sara Winters has a good explanation that I am 100% in agreement with. JKR made Harry and Hermione's relationship nothing like siblings. Let me tell you, I have a sister, who I love, but we're more like Ron and Hermione then Harry and Hermione. I think if we did act like Harry and Hermione our parents would be seriously concerned. Plus, I never really liked Ron after book 4. Book 5 he was okay, but him abandoning Harry was something I never forgot. And loyalty is probably the trait that I am most judgmental on. As in, the most loyal characters will always be looked more favorably on in my eyes. Whatever, it's the way I am. So when he abandoned Harry and Hermione in book 7 it lowered my opinion of him drastically. What if he hadn't made it back in time to tell them about the taboo on Voldemort? What if they'd gone to Godric's Hollow earlier, possibly resulting in their capture or their wands being broken earlier? Dumbledore could plan all he wanted but it was a drastic amount of luck that would have allowed events to play out as they did. Ron coming back several months later didn't make me forget the fact that he had left. Forgive but don't forget. But yeah, Harry and Hermione had a really nice relationship in the books (minus book 6 but I didn't really like the 6th one that much so I tend to ignore it. And I don't mean just Harry and Hermione's relationship. I mean everything in the book. Ron's behavior, the lessons that take a whole year to do, all that. Thought the plot was really weak at times) so even if they aren't a couple, I like seeing that closeness in fics. ALSO... so it turns out that the HHr fans were right. Fuck, right? JK Rowling admitted, in an interview where Emma Watson was a special editor or something, that the ending was basically her trying to stick to her original idea, rather than writing the story as it flowed. And writing a story as it flowed is actually a lesson I once heard her talk about in an interview and I used that when writing my own stories. She says she was essentially fulfilling a wish, whatever the fuck that means. Maybe those people who theorized that Hermione and Ron represented JK and her ex were right. She admitted that Harry and Hermione would have made a better couple than Ron and Hermione, and that Ron and Hermione would have needed marriage counseling at the least. And guess what? No one really wins, cause she wrote the ending she didn't believe in anyway. We all lose. People who were fans of the epilogue ended up with one that the author admits was wrong while fans of other pairings get, at most, the author acknowledging that they were right, but that's it. Harry/Susan - The main reason I like this is because of the way people portray Susan in their stories on here. To be honest, I don't remember her much from the books, besides the one time they mention the death of her aunt, so I could go read the books and decide I actually don't like this pair. However, the way people on here write her (and everyone seems to do it the same way, oddly enough) I found it was good balance. Especially the ones that show how she curbs Harry's emotions. Harry/Fleur - Haha, now see this is a pair that I like only because it is just so damn impossible. I mean, some stories I've read have actual plausible situations that could lead to this, even ones without that whole Veela life debt thing going on, but still, the chances of these happening is like... 1/10000 XD Anyway, I like the Harry/Fleur pairing because it shows Fleur in a different light rather than the stuck up attitude she's given in a lot of stories. For example, one reason I don't like a Bill/Fleur story is because Molly, Ginny sometimes, and even Hermione are constantly thinking badly of her. Honestly, how the hell is she supposed to act other than haughtily and stuck-up when you automatically think shes a stuck up bitch? The way Harry sticks up for her in the 6th book at the Burrow is probably one of the times I was most proud of Harry. And then that opinion went down when he let Ginny insult Hermione. But whatever. Harry/Tonks - Lol, I just like these because they are usually a little bit lighter than other pairings. Tonks attitude is good for Harry in my opinion, whether he's paired with her or not. He needs to loosen up a little XD Harry in one of those multi relationship ones - Honestly, I just find these to be sort of funny a lot of the time. Other times, Harry becomes less moody because of the multiple girls being able to curb his mood slightly, which makes him more bearable for me to read -.- But none of that cheesy "I love you all equally blah blah stuff". If I'm reading these, I don't really want the story to play out like a normal relationship, since this is clearly not normal. Neville/Hannah or Neville/Luna - Neville deserves a good girlfriend. These two fit that requirement without being any of the above girl and Luna and Neville had nice interactions. You'll notice that Ginny/Harry was not in those pairings listed. I don't like it. It's my opinion, I live in a country that pushes the idea of free speech, so I'm allowed to not like it. Whatever. I simply thought that their interactions in the books were sort of... plastic, for lack of a better term. And JK's idea of jealousy seemed a little off to me. I mean considering Harry rarely talked to her, his reactions to seeing her making out with Dean just seem a little bit too much. Now, for anyone who saw my post about Kira/Cagalli above, here's another one. James S. Potter/Rose. For the same reason, though this one is more for the whole forbidden love idea. Again, I just like reading stories about it. The idea of forbidden love is so interesting because of all the ways people come up with to allow the forbidden lovers to deal with their situations XD Here, people can write whatever the hell they want (unfortunately in some cases XD). I'd also read an Albus Severus/someone pairing but people seemed determined to make him gay in most stories... seriously, I have nothing against a gay pairing but what is with people making him and Scorpius gay? Why can he not be straight? Same with Harry, Draco, Snape, and others I just don't have the patience to mention. One thing that I just do not understand is the Hermione/(insert any Slytherin/Dark character here) pairing. How does that even make sense? I'm sorry to those who do actually like those pairings but they just don't make sense to me -_- Random thought: So, to anyone who bothered to read all that, I think it's obvious I usually like certain character types paired up. Like Harry and Hermione, the socially awkward guy with the more confident girl, even if she has confidence issues as well, or Taiora, the slower male character with a headstrong female character. So basically, for future reference, I am pretty sure that most of my more favored pairings will be like this. I know, my tastes are weird. I get that in real life too, whatever XD The things I hate in stories: Bad Grammar: I HATE bad grammar. I know, I'm not the greatest either, and a little won't kill me. But sometimes, it's just too much. I mean, some ideas I've seen on this site are great, fantastic, oscar worthy, but they just have such horrible grammar that I can't continue. Overpowered OCs: I actually have a specific example for this. In this one Gundam Seed story (I won't say the actual name, that would be rude XD) they had one character who was on an equal skill level with the main character. Whatever, that's fine. At that point, the main character (and OC) was weak, being on an equal level with most of the other characters in the series. However, about halfway through, the OC became a complete badass, only being rivaled in power by the main character. That was ridiculous. She performed miracles in that story. Don't get me wrong, I read the entire thing and half of the sequel, and it was great. It's just the fact that the OC was more powerful than almost anyone else in the story sort of ruined it for me. She was also smarter than most of the other characters. That sort of takes the fun out of it for me. What's the point of having an adventure if you can just blow through everything in your path? Where's the challenge??? But, the story was good, so I forgave that story. I even favorited it, though I favorite a lot of stories XD Bashing Characters Unnecessarily: Now, this is a delicate balance for me. I don't mind a little character bashing, but only in fun. Like people who do it to have fun with characters, like making a exaggeratedly dumb or something for comedic effect is fine. But people who simply don't like characters and so amplify their bad qualities annoys me. Things I hate (in general XD) University exams - The bane of my existence -.- Stories: (A side note, I'm pretty sure that any Naruto-based story I write will have Sasuke die. Just a warning. I don't like Sasuke, I don't really understand his personality considering Kishi keeps having him change his mind all the time, and so I don't think I would be fair in writing him. So I kill him off. Sorry) Naruto Stories: Buried Feelings - Years after the last great Ninja war, Naruto Uzumaki, Hokage of Konoha, finds that some feelings that he has buried away for years have begun to surface again. NaruSaku XD Digimon Stories: Losing You (Rewriting it XD) - Sora and Matt are getting married. Tai has been trying to hide his feelings for years now, but he just can't do it anymore. He can't be the best man as he watches the love of his life marry someone else. As if that wasn't bad enough, a crisis in the digital world demands all of their attention. Taiora (Will have Sorato moments in the beginning) Finished Stories: Undeserving - 7 Chapters Sakura wakes up after celebrating the end of the 4th Shinobi war. Only she wakes up in bed with Naruto. How will each of them deal with this situation? |
