*wipes a tear* Of all your stories, this one has actually managed to make me cry a bit. Perhaps it a combination of a happy sadness, as well as the more than normal amounts of caffeine in my system, but it certainly served its purpose. I'm all choked up. That was beautiful.

By the way, I thought it was interesting how you had Muggle-borns living shorter lives due to the amount of magic in their blood. Interesting concept!

It may have been the end of an era, but apparently a happy and productive one. When I first read the summary, I thaought Harry spent that time alone, as in he had missed his chance the way others had written. To find that he had lived the life that he had always craved off set the fact Hermione was dieing.
Well written with lots of emotion.

My wife passed away about like that. We had had 36 years together. Good years. She happened to be the one to introduce me to fanfiction. Thank you.

This is a very touching and poignant look at two people very much in love. Harry's facing the fact that, barring anything unforeseen, is sentenced to live the rest of his life without her simply by biology and the final consequences of Dolohov's curse is one of those moments she was talking about having to surrender to things bigger than them.
