Excellent story! As a Harmonian, I've always wondered if there could be a real reason for H/R or H/G. Following expectations (perceived or actual) is as good an explanation as any.

Fine use of Charlie, though I'd think that Bill is in that same position too. Still, he does take apart Hermione's feeble arguments and uses his own life as a fine example. I suppose this is Harry's 18th Birthday, so only a few months from the last battle. One has to conclude that she's suffering from some PTSD still. The question begs about her parents status.

Finally nothing surprises me less than Charlie being asked to be best man and likely for a non-wizarding ceremony. Wonderful job!

I feel like I can't tell you enough how much I love this. It completely makes sense as to why Hermione would've ended up with Ron when they have nothing in common except Harry and being enemies of Voldie. They don't match in any way, and the complete-opposites only attracted because JKR forced it - they never would've made it otherwise.

This is so short, but so much better. So wise, and so deep and makes me so much happier!

This is such a lovely story. Great use of Charlie. I love seeing him used properly in a story.
