Okay, I just have to say that this story is soooo well written. You capture the emotion of it so well, the characters are so on point, and as a reader you can feel the emotion just hanging off the page. Well done! I'd love to read anything else you write.

This is great. I do wonder why she convinces herself they have to do this or even that she was forced. She raised the idea of marriage. I doubt she did that just to save everyone - since she was so opposed to the idea of marriage and love I can't believe she'd initiate something like that. And here she still trying to initiate stuff that no one has asked her to do. She kind of lies to herself. As Dizzy notes below she could have just killed Peeta and been done with it but she couldn't and wouldn't kill Peeta. However that doesn't mean she would immediately jump to the idea of marriage.

Good story here though.

As I read, I kept coming across sentences that made me go, 'This one, yes, this is the one I'll quote in the review,' but then I came across another...and another...and another...and yeah. They're all amazing. Every word is precisely placed, every sentiment perfectly drawn, every emotion superbly evoked. It's absolutely beautiful, but also sooooo painful. I feel so bad for Peeta - and here's the line I'll go with - especially when Katniss finds herself pitying him because every time it seems he has her, she finds reasons to pull away. It's so true, both in canon and in this story, that it makes it even MORE heartbreaking!

Wow, I really don't agree with the previous reviewer. I found the story to be lovely, actually even better than the first one. I think it deals with actual issues Katniss and Peeta might have had if they were in fact forced to be married. Great writing.

I don't get it,although it was written well I never got the feeling in book 1 or book 2 up to the point of this story that Katniss was a cold hearted bitch that you show if she was so worried about everyones safety she could have stuck an arrow in him like he asked ,or let him eat the berries. That way her family is fine, Gale now that she's rich and Cinna made her look pretty could have her and the other way,even though she didn't want him and he didnt want her until Peeta did and they dolled her how does getting laid solve anything, does the president check and see if she's still a virgin for all he knows she could just say she's not getting whole lm never getting married ideacame from not wanting children and now she wants to force a guy to knock her up so she can give it away? Or raise a child to get reaped to save her sister and bit higher mother?Also Gale wasn't even on Snows radar until before the didn't she seduce him in the arena and slit his throat easy. No Peeta no uprising no revolution,just a happy Victor with a safe sister. Your too good of a writer to write rrp like that, I'm serious you are good just not a good choice ,but I will check out some of your other stuff, sorry I was just expecting something to happen and it was done,maybe it could work if it was longer and you could have tied up some loose ends,obviously I'm not a writer a carpenter I could build a house quicker and better than a paragraph

No apology needed - IMO. This story fits perfectly in to how I think the story would have worked out if things had played out this way in the book. I truly think that Katniss fear of loosing someone and ending up like her mother would have totally had her thinking this exact thing.

I really would like if you write another sequel where they are finally happy with no worries about the Capitol, because she realize they can be together and that make them stronger, not weak.

I always anticipate the inevitable argument in a fic where Katniss and Peeta are forced to marry, because we all know that Katniss believes physical intimacy is a necessity but Peeta refuses to force her into something he believes she doesn't want. I really love how you wrote out the situation. Katniss's nerves, her multiple attempts to seduce Peeta, and her frustration and confusion toward Peeta when he refuses her... they were written perfectly.

The addition of Madge is a really nice touch in this fic because I think she's often ignored in Peeta/Katniss fics. I like how her advice to Katniss isn't overt, but is more of a nudge in the right direction for Katniss to discover her feelings for herself.

Of course, the end of this is just heartbreaking, but I managed to pick up the shattered pieces of my soul when I read the third installment and saw that they at least partially resolve things.
