![]() Author has written 3 stories for Labyrinth, Harry Potter, and Tin Man. I've been a fan fiction addict since 2008, when I discovered its existence on Mugglenet. I have never looked back-- this is far too much fun. I love finding something new, and exploring the whole genre--it can get a bit painful, each new discovery generally takes about three straight weeks of solid reading (tucked in amongst real life-- never much sleep during those three weeks, since I have to take the reading time where I can). I enjoy writing it, and especially love having my middle school students write it themselves--they can get so incredibly creative! I used to be fairly pedestrian in my favorites, but I've branched out a lot in the last few years. Generally speaking, I only favorite more high-quality writing, but I freely admit to adding some stories that float my boat in spite of the writing skills-- content is more important than grammar and spelling, in my opinion. After all, having perfect grammar and spelling doesn't do you much good if you don't have anything worth writing about. In any case, you are welcome to peruse my favorite's list, but I warn you that I'll read (and favorite) just about anything--although the romances outnumber the angst by about six to one. The majority of my writing is done by hand, and rarely sees itself into a Word document, much less beta'd and published here. However, sometimes it does happen! "Kitchen Table at Grimmauld Place" has one or two more chapters sketched out, which I will upload someday. Cross my heart. "Bright Dawns" has been plaguing me for the last year by refusing to plot out properly-- there are about four different directions I've taken it (by hand)-- and someday, I'll get it there. Anyhow, it's always on the back burner, and sometimes makes it up to the forefront, but not with any consistency-- at least, not yet. Hope does spring eternal, however, so I advise you to use Author/Story Alert, since those updates are very sporadic. For background: I'm an American, a single mom from the Pacific Northwest, with a M.Ed, a BA in English, and a black tea habit. Always happy to beta, not much squicks me out, so send me a message if you're interested. Happy Reading! |
