Because imagine, if Merlin easily made a Castle gone/destroyed, Drake probably could explode by magic or something. Though it's not like anyone have problem with enemy being dead. It's nice to see Merlin and Arthur caring so much for each other like this, even if Arthur would never admit his own part and rather keep things to himself. BAMF Merlin is my favourite.
