christti chapter 17 . 7/10 I cried with this chapter, you're a great writer |
drkraez chapter 1 . 7/8 Re-reading... So good! xx |
christti chapter 3 . 7/7 I'm loving this fic, but wait... how come Sookie research tells her that vamps don't appear in photos, but there was a photo of Eric on the wanted poster? I mean, they do appear in pictures, unless you changed it for this story... |
Frost Merry Darkness Luver chapter 6 . 5/7 When she had the thought could he read? I thought i should mention or maybe its her being irrational, but he already read the twilight books |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 53 . 4/13 I’m glad to see that she’s finally feeling “crappy” & “like an ass” for never taking even a moment before to consider Eric’s wants or needs in regard to where he/they rest(s). Like nearly every version of Sookie she’s selfish & inconsiderate, always putting her own prideful expectations ahead of Eric’s safety & comfort. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 44 . 4/13 Sookie: “Then, I remembered I had manners. Or was supposed to.” — “SUPPOSED TO” — That expresses my inner reaction to most versions of Sookie. Nearly all are immature, demanding, selfish, cruel, banshees when it comes to how she is to Eric characters. None of that signals “manners” or “lady” to me. I like that this version of Sookie at least has moments of recognition that her behavior would be a disappointment to Gran, that she’s doing herself a disservice, & that Eric deserves better, and that she often takes that inner nudging and makes a better choice. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 33 . 4/12 I don’t get her childish temper tantrum & whining over not being able to rush off to visit the long lost cousin who A) Didn’t have any interest in contacting her & never got in touch even though Hadley knew all along exactly where & how to contact her family. Even allowing for Sookie to be more sentimental about family, just the hint that trying to get in touch with Hadley would put both herself & Eric in danger should instantly rule out perusing it. B) Hadley is the source of the information motivating QSA to pursue Sookie & steal her away from her life. If Hadley had any consideration for Sookie’s life & feelings, she wouldn’t have risked Sookie just to further her own ambitions. Why would any sane, thinking person choose to get into close contact with someone willing to play dice with your life. Who knows how much more damage a selfish twit like Hadley could/would do with better access to impact Sookie’s life? I get having an initial knee-jerk reaction & an urge to get in touch, but it shouldn’t have taken more than Eric’s first explanation for her to act like an adult who values Eric’s life & safety even if she’s too foolish to keep her own as priorities. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 28 . 4/12 Please, oh please make my afternoon & have Sookie go stay with Eric at his house! |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 26 . 4/12 Every time the variations on the Bill/Rats scene come up in a fic my brain immediately starts screaming, “Let the asshole die! Just let him die! Die Bill, die!,” but in the huge digital heaps & piles Of stories I’ve read so far I think there was just one story that didn’t have Sookie rescue him. Sadly, it wasn’t this story. I think it was one of the time traveling stories so it was a Sookie that saved Bill the first time around, but was smart & disciplined enough her second time around to skip saving the creep. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 23 . 4/12 Telling Eric he has the conscience of a virus — really great turn of phrase! I like that Eric & Sookie are interacting frequently, even when it’s sparring, so much better than the canon version. However, I keep finding myself mentally yelling at them to just kiss already & see if it triggers any memories. NOOOOOOOOOOO! No Bill! I hate Bill. You’re gonna ruin my afternoon with that creep!? |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 19 . 4/12 Great chapter! Best line, of course, is Sookie leaping completely out of canon character with, "You. Me. Naked. In my bed. I sucked, you came." I spit my ice cream. I should know better than to keep reading after taking a bite or sip of something without swallowing first. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 18 . 4/12 Well, at least Eric wanting to have a conversation this soon feels more promising than the canon route where it pretty much took months. Even if this isn’t a problem solving miracle level talk at least it gives me a tiny bit of hope that I’m not gonna have to wade through 30 chapters of nothing but angst. |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 9 . 4/12 Eeeeeeeeewww! I don’t want to think about it, but it looked to me like Sam was working his way up to asking Sookie to date him now that she knows his secret. Just thinking about him making moves on her makes my skin crawl... |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 7 . 4/11 The entire paragraph that begins, “I popped open my eyes...” was perfection AND hilarious, especially when one can recall similar moments from one’s past. “...almost fatal case of mortification,” written like someone who’s experienced the phenomenon — and read & related to it by someone who has definitely experienced that level of embarrassment, many, many times. I was very glad that I had already swallowed my sip of tea when I read about Maxine’s backwards thong. That’s an image that will never go away... AND YOU ARE SUCH A BIG TEASE! I’m really enjoying how playful your Eric & Sookie are with each other though! A laughing Sookie is about as rare as a Vaquita porpoise! Unfortunately, I’m now already feeling the need to begin actively to bracing myself for the seemingly inevitable point that Eric remembers everything but Sookie followed by chapter after chapter of angst. I hate angst! |
GlassMazeGazer chapter 6 . 4/11 Presumably, Sookie’s brief panic about whether Eric would be able to read the note she left for him was just a ‘senior moment’ since she was already aware that he managed to read the whole first Twilight book the first night he was there... |
