OliveJars chapter 8 . 6/20 The oddness of Mrs. Whelan is so enjoyable to read! |
OliveJars chapter 7 . 6/20 The song the guy is singing is so pretty! Oh damn I love how intimidating Jareth is. |
OliveJars chapter 6 . 6/20 ooh I'm getting shivers from reading this. The fact that the old man knows her last name. You've got excellent skill for setting up the tension in the chapters and the sense of unease that Sarah is feeling. |
OliveJars chapter 5 . 6/20 eeeeh! This just gets better and better. The fact that the goblins are self-aware they've done and said these things before. I can't wait to see how they react to her being back. |
OliveJars chapter 4 . 6/20 Poor Sarah with her first time :( I can totally imagine she's been cursed with bad luck in regards to dating. |
OliveJars chapter 3 . 6/20 Oooh I absolutely adore Mrs. Whelan! The line "That seems a very pagan belief for such a Catholic country" made me laugh. "Oh yes, yes. We're still good Catholics, praise the baby Jesus...but Ireland has never forgotten her first ways." So good! This back and forth is done perfectly and so is the tension of the mention of goblins and Mrs. Whelan acting odd to normal again. "And what's said is said" she finished, before draining it with a goblin-like slurp. AAAH I'M SCREECHING THIS IS DONE SO GOOD! The touches of the Labyrinth showing up like that and the phrases. |
OliveJars chapter 2 . 6/20 Oh yes I love that throw back line! absolutely perfect |
OliveJars chapter 1 . 6/20 Oh! I can't wait to read more of this. The theme of temptation being discussed in Sarah's class I'm eager to hear more about :D |
ovu1583 chapter 7 . 6/14 Well, it seems to the best fanfic on Labyrinth I've seen so far. The best ones are always the one that bring something extra to the story, aren't they? Special thanks for Rossetti. I am Russian and that's probably why I have never read that poem. I also wanted to point out 3 misprints in this chapter you must have missed: - had been been - who dog - was jus flirting I am an amateur journalist myself and misprints are a menace. Thank you again for the pleasure! Olga |
alorindanya chapter 38 . 5/7 Ok, so I just read this whole thing in 3 days and I love the world and magic you created. I LIKE that Sarah is conflicted that in the end, she became a wiling player to the cycle of GKs. I like how fierce you made each of Jareth's parents. I am happy you included Hoggle, Didymus and Ludo as so many stories forget to include them. I like the Harlequins; very unique characters. And, I will say, the Epilogue is one of my favorite chapters: A father adoring their unborn child is one of the most sexy things to me. I know i read this when it was originally posted chapter by chapter, but I can't remember if I had ever reviewed it. |
Thevoiceslockedaway chapter 4 . 5/1 I had read so much smut by the time I had sex that I didn't even feel pain. Lol I was so ready for it. I used to mourn that in a way, but this chapter makes me thankful. |
Thevoiceslockedaway chapter 3 . 5/1 I just love how easy it is to slip quotes from the movie in a fic. |
Thevoiceslockedaway chapter 2 . 5/1 Time for my yearly reading of this.. I heard that last quote exactly as it was said in the movie. Lol |
MidnightWaterLover chapter 38 . 4/19 Ok, so I basically went and binged all your stories. These are fabulous. Smart, witty (yes, I know), funny, just a little dark because, c'mon, it's Jareth...and all kinds of twisted and screwed up in the most wonderful ways. In one you make him related to old gods (mostly Celtic), in another you make him related to the Norse pantheon. Have mercy, but I so want you to finish the two that are still in progress! Please! |
AmaryllisPsyche chapter 38 . 2/14 Wonderful, realistic, and yet oh so magical. A roller coaster of personalities and wills. Definitely worth the read! |
