Hello All!

I live in Texas, transplanted from Chicago, married, five cats, no children, one mortgage, lots of debt, part time student (yay I graduated), full time employee. I love writing and have a lot of fan fiction which I'll upload from time to time. I used to not post stuff until it was completed. These days I'm working on a bunch of different stuff but if you've been reading me for a while you'll notice I always finish my stories. I might be posting irregularly, it might go on for a year or more but eventually the stories will be finished. I can't stand it when these wonderful stories I get so hooked on just...don't get updated and they're abandoned without a word. So I promise I will never do that to all of you.

I've had some health issues and thanks to medication my writing really got...lost for a while. Different meds and a different job have helped me with that a lot and I'm finally back to writing. So I'm trying to get all of my WIP finished. It's not easy though, to pick up on something I haven't written in several years so bear with me.

Qualities include an eye for detail (sometimes we call it OCD), hopeless romantic, and voracious reader. Flaws...lack of html skills and lack of patience (with people). Could include lack of money in there but that's not a character flaw.

I love Harry Potter, Bones, Dragon Age, Firefly/Serenity, Riddick(!), Forgotten Realms and have more books in my home than I can count. The movie collection doesn't match the book collection but it continues to grow. I welcome constructive criticism but if you don't like something I've written give me a good coherent reason why, not just... 'well I don't get it'. I've taken several undergraduate courses in English and Creative Writing so I happily will read any review that can help me improve my writing.

I write for fun, because I love it and enjoy it. I know its the dream of many people to write and make a living at it. To write and love writing is enough for me. I have no desire to end up like Herman Melville. http:///letter3.htm Dollars damn me.

I hope you will enjoy my writing for what it is. An endeavor of love, the literal definition of amateur.

I've noticed a little trend in profiles where people say that if you don't copy and paste something into your profile it means you don't care. I don't agree with that because it strikes me as a very passive aggressive form of bullying. I hate bullying in any form and I also don't want a lot of stuff cluttering up my profile. If you want to know what I believe in, ask me. Or read my stories. I make my stance on issues very clear.

Don't get me wrong, its nice that people want to put all this stuff in their profile that supports individualism and freedom of choice in all aspects of their lives. I just don't like the 'do this or it means you're bad' postscript at the end. I try not to discuss politics or religion because those tend to be polarizing hot buttons that end up with conversations going up in flames.
