![]() Author has written 8 stories for Resident Evil, Doctor Who, Transformers/Beast Wars, Tales of Symphonia, Bible, OFF, and Supernatural. Name: Age: Me soul be older than dirt I've been on this site for a while and I must say, when I was first introduced to this place, I was surprised by all the wonderful writers and their stories, I've read quite a few. Some are worthy of a fan fiction prize while others should be condemned to the bin of worst fan fics ever. Whew! I went through and looked at how many stories I've got in my favs/alerts and what a haul! I've gone through Doctor Who, House, tons of other stuff, and searched through loads of crossovers with the search engine I gotta say I'm satisfied by what I've found and all the great writers out there they've really helped by giving me a laugh for the day and adventures to stimulate my own creativity, which I know doesn't seem like much (you should see my book of fan fic ideas.) One of my favorite past times on this site is to scroll through whatever section I'm in to find interesting stories, the entire section, not a few pages, but the entire thing, yes I'm nuts, it's been proven. You see I often find the C2 areas to be lacking and truth be told they miss some goodies here and there if I want to get the most out of a great story then I must search for it until I've sailed to the very ends of and back, Muahahahaha!! What is it with fangirls (oh sweet irony) and wanting to fall in love with their favorite characters? True I have my own favorite character/s I love but it's more of having passion for them than actually wanting to fall in love. Instead of falling in love I'd rather have an impact on their life in a totally different way give them a major culture shock that's always fun. Introduce them to ideas they never thought of is even better and using logic against them is probably the best, but do it while having fun at the same time...I seem to have gone on a rant here. Likes: I have so many of them and I'm always jumping to various subjects. I couldn't tell you what my favorite songs, stories, movies, etc. are cause like I said I'm always jumping so you'll never know what I'm into. What I can tell you is this, I enjoy both the old and the new I'm not partial to either and I'm not just referring to 60's stuff but even things from the 40's and 50's, I also enjoy many different styles, if I were talking sports I wouldn't be biased toward any one team or any one sport, except the Cubs they haven't done anything relevant in a long time. Dislikes: Stories with overused plots they get boring after a while. Stories with the characters having some relative or other, like sisters or brothers, that didn't exist in the canon I call them Suzy/Steve Sues, not all of them are bad, but it does get ridiculous. Stories where the character falls in love with an OC, while some are very nice, they are way overused by us hopeless romantics, I would just once like to see them have a girlfriend/guyfriend who stays that way. I'm not big on tragedies, now and then I might check one out, nor vivid sex of any sort that's just too much, way too much, I'd short circuit my brain. Crack stories, most of them aren't worth putting to pen and shouldn't be posted on site. Stories with SLASH those just bother me as I follow certain convictions and sometimes people don't mention that their story is slash so I wind up stumbling into one by accident (ugh!) Incest is another big no no (Ewwww!) As are male pregnancies (Seriously? You wanna take away the greatest gift women possess?) Democrats (LOL!) Excessive swearing, period, to quote Queen Latifa from one of her movies "It's got no class." People who don't finish their stories, take a REALLY long time to update, or (heaven forbid) forget what they were writing, mind you, I don't hold it against them and I won't nag either (I hope to finish the stuff I write it's something I want to do.) Inconsistencies in stories and not like they have a few facts from the canon wrong (unless they're major facts) but like they forget what they wrote in the previous chapter and repeat it in the next in a completely different way. People who don't proofread their work (The spelling, the run-on sentences, my God the grammar, save the grammar!) Last, but not least, major slang especially gang slang is not something that entices a reader. Jesus had no servants, yet they called him Master... He had no degree, yet they called him Teacher... He had no medicine, yet they called him Healer... He had no army, yet kings feared him... He won no military battles, yet he conquered the World... He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him... He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today Feel honored to serve such a leader who loves us... If you believe in God and Jesus Christ his Son then copy and paste this in your profile OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE: Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered for having cultivated such valuable lessons as: knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate, teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch, and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student, but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband, churches became businesses, and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents Truth and Trust, his wife Discretion, his daughter Responsibility, and his son Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing. |
