Wonderful story! Excellent job of having Lloyd torn between his friends and father! And complete - wow! You managed to tie up all the loose ends so nicely! Well done!

A reasonable way to wrap things up. I would have liked for this to have veered a bit further from canon than it did, but I can certainly understand why you chose for that to not be the case. As the first new ToS fic I have read in over a half dozen years, it was a very satisfying read. Thank you for posting this!

I just realized. You know who Lloyd reminds me of in this story? Asch from TotA (Tales of the Abyss) The group dynamic is almost similar too, with the traitor having two people he's close to trying to get him to come back or participate in conversations while the rest of the party is suspicious or even hostile…cool

A lot of the story ideas you have are really interesting. Even the ones I don't read make me stop and wonder 'what would happen if that occurred,' if that makes sense. It's probably your fault that I'm fascinated by Crulloyd. Haha

I started reading this years ago, when it was incomplete, so I was excited when I looked through your stories again and saw that it was completed. I hadn't been keeping up with it, so I just started over and read the whole thing.

There were some things where it didn't seem like there was enough detail, or where a scene was kind of just skipped over. One example that comes to mind is that Lloyd apparently told the group about Yggdrasil being Mithos the Hero and Kratos being one of his companions from 4,000 years ago, but we didn't actually see their reaction to it. But on the whole, I had fun with this story and it was an interesting idea.

This is as good a place as any to end the story, I suppose. After this point, it really would be just retracing the game's story, which I tend not to like too much of. And Lloyd has now been accepted back by his foster father and his friends, and he has gotten to know his real father, and he finally feels like he belongs with all of them again. Lloyd's lucky to have so many people who care about him. :-)

And I want to say thank you for finishing this story. You tend to have a lot of incomplete stories, and the fact that you do stick with them and finish them eventually means a lot. I guess that's why I usually check back with your stories whenever I'm in a ToS mood. Chances are an old story has been finished, or a new plot bunny raises some interesting questions.

As soon as Forcystus gave his reason fer being a Grand Cardinal, I knew that you liked Forcystus. I was like, "oh. Ok. She likes Forcystus. That explains it."

Yeah...I guess this is a pretty good spot to finish, all things considered. -rubs head- Not what I've come to expect, but nice. It was so good of the rest of them to step in and explain for Lloyd, sure saved his skin I bet! (I thought it was /really/ neat that he was the one to come up with the base of the donating mana plan. He's so much smarter than they give him credit for.)
