![]() Author has written 31 stories for Doctor Who, Star Wars, and Sherlock Holmes. One Time Lord. One Great Detective. Two obsessed fanfiction writers… Need we say more? Well, just in case... allow us to introduce ourselves! Aleine Skyfire: Oh, golly, where to begin?! Sherlockian author, newspaper paginator, 26, homeschool graduate, firstborn in a big family, and very much American. The spelling in my A/Ns will give me away every time. I have three Sherlockian novels in various stages of production at the moment, one of which stands completed in my profile: Deliver Us from Evil, Book I: Mortality—don't expect the published book, however, for quite some time to come. The sequel is The Road to Reichenbach. As a note: All this stuff is very dark. 'Fraid that's just what I write. Happy endings and lots of fluff, but much tears and bloodshed in-between. Sooorry. (Well, I'm not, really.) My Sherlock Holmes is Jeremy Brett, although I tend to see and hear him as a younger man when I write and read Holmes. Yes, I am a fiercely proud Brettian. My belief is that no other actor has ever come close to the multi-layered performance Jeremy gave us. RIP, dear heart. Runners up are Christopher Plummer, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Ronald Howard. "My" Doctor was originally Christopher Eccleston, but I think Matt Smith ended up stealing that #1 spot (and then Peter Capaldi sneaked in and ruined my life). Runner up is David Tennant, with Jon Pertwee and Sir John Hurt also holding special places in my heart. Riandra: My turn? I’m a married mum of four boys, 37, living down under Down Under (that’s New Zealand / Middle Earth, to all you poor non-Kiwis out there!). My main fic obsession is Sherlock Holmes, with Doctor Who as a very close second. I recently finished my first ever Holmes novel: ‘A Study In Regret’, which came out September last year. A dark tale, exploring what might have happened during the Great Hiatus if Watson had died at Reichenbach Falls after Moriarty... Not for the faint-hearted, and a sequel is in the works! My favourite Holmes is and always will be Christopher Plummer, although I deeply regret that I was born too late to see the Detective Incarnate himself, William Gillette. (Hmm, Doctor, I don’t suppose...?) The Holmes that lives in my head, however, bears a striking resemblance to Basil Rathbone... As for my favourite Doctor – Ten-nant, you rock, now and forever! Our Wholmes series, Children of Time, is very much an Alternate Universe, exploring what might happen if Holmes and Watson were substituted for Martha Jones as the Doctor’s full-time companions. Some of these adventures will seem very familiar, some greatly altered, and there may even be some completely new stories... However, one thing is absolutely certain: it’s going to be an amazing voyage, and there are plenty of surprises in store! Well, with those three madcaps on the loose, what do you expect? The unexpected, of course... We hope you enjoy the ride! Also, you can follow our official Wholmes tumblr at ! Check us out! |
