Oh, God, that ending is so beautiful! I swear; I'm rereading this again, at 1:56 in the morning, and I...just...can't...stop! This should legitimately be canon!

Not sure I like or agree with how this chapter ended. For one, I honestly don't think Sev was ever really a pureblood/blood supremist (he might have been a magic supremist though). He was a half-blood and he (and likely the rest of his Slythrin Classmates) knew that. As such the whole block of conversation where Lily says that she never understood why he liked her inspite of hating people like her (ie mudbloods) and how true greatness lies in being good to people who mean nothing to you rings hollow (pun not intended). After all if Severus didn't really care or believe that mudbloods where inferior (like I think is true) then he truly didn't care that if Lily (or anyone else) was one. More likely being a half-blood sorted into Slytherin with a bunch of pureblood fanatics he learned that if he wanted any peace/respite in Hogwarts, that he would have to act like he did. After all, with the Marauders hounding him outside of his dorm and the Slytherins hounding him in them he would have been lucky to survive Hogwarts (ie considering what his dorm mates grew up to do and believe I don't put it past them to kill or torture Sev if he doesn't play ball) let alone graduate. Also considering that James and co weren't at all welcoming towards him then it became increasingly clear that being on at least neutral terms with his housemates was necessary for his continued survival. I'll also point out that James' treatment of Severus runs directly counter to the whole greatness lies in being good to those that mean nothing to you (especially since he never actually stopped attacking him) statement. All in all, this meeting, while necessary, I unlikely to go this way. After all, Sev doesn't hash out his near murder or her calling him ungrateful or question her for smiling while James was attacking and humiliating him. Hell it doesn't even just hash out just how full of shit her husband was and why she chose him. All in all I don't see this as realistic closure for Snape.

Alright, Death Eaters driven offen, but you should have shortened the fight in the end. It wasn't epic any more. One short moment of gryffindorisch glory for Snape would have done the deal.

The Beginning was rather good though.
The Elder Wands allegiance to Harry in the end of the battle was also a little bit over the top.
