Author has written 15 stories for Danny Phantom, Young Justice, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, and Avengers. Updated November 3, 2018 Hi, I'm Ian. I am but a humble graduate design student from California living in Europe who loves dabbling in creative writing. I may eventually end up writing for other categories/shows, but I have always been a huge Danny Phantom fan and have always thought the show could have had so much more to it if it hadn't been cancelled after 3 seasons. Other diversions currently include Young Justice and Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Quick shout-out to all the authors on here who inspired me to re-explore creative writing! Thanks for all the great reads! WORKS-IN-PROGRESS (Not published in any way): - Oneshot - Keyword 'Intervention' - Multi-chapter fic - "Fire with Fire" - Multi-chapter fic - Keyword 'Jump' - Night One - Garfield Logan edition Keywords' meanings are a need-to-know basis. Good luck guessing in what way they'll apply to the stories. (Apart from Charade. That one should be fairly obvious looking at my published works.) ONGOING PROJECTS (updates pending): - Sequel/chapter 2 - "Charade" W A N T E D: BETA READERS Attention to detail a must. Plot development and flow expertise desired. Grammar Nazi tendencies preferred but not mandated because I'm pretty good with grammar myself. Please help! I have a couple stories waiting for publishing which I would like to have read through before I share them because I want my stories to be as excellent as possible from now on. Oh, I feel like I should also add my two cents about a few headcanons regarding the Danny Phantom universe: - Amity Park is in central-northern Ohio. I'd say Akron-ish, because Lake Eerie (which I'm pretty sure is Erie in real life) is easily visitable for a day trip (i.e. the fishing trip in "Girls Night Out"). I almost wanted to say Cleveland because Fenton Works ends up by the water in "Identity Crisis," but Cleveland is directly reference by Jack on the aforementioned fishing trip, and the house could have just ended up on the river. It also needs to be two days' worth of driving away from Vlad's mansion in Wisconsin (the "Bitter Reunions" road trip was supposed to have taken that long), and while 8 hours from Akron to Madison is doable in one day, this is a family of 4 in a single unrefined vehicle we're talking about. I know other people have said it's in Minnesota, Illinois, and even Wisconsin, but those places just don't seem to add up to me especially Wisconsin since they repeatedly refer to Wisconsin as a separate location in the show. Plus, the accents are definitely more Midwest than Minnesotan. Although, I don't know how the Fentons could end up in the Arizona/Utah desert for a weekend trip in "Fenton Menace"... Let's just chalk that up to 'creative license.' - Danny has become very skilled at hand-to-hand combat: He can't spend the best part of two years fighting ghosts constantly without honing his skills, so therefore he will be more than capable with or without powers. Maybe not as capable as Valerie or his mom, but definitely good enough to hold his own. I think it's also safe to assume that Maddie trained him and Jazz as children for their own protection. - Danny's skin is more tan in ghost mode because of ectoplasm. His skin tone seems to become almost olive/Mediterranean in complexion, so I think the glowing green hue of the ectoplasm coursing through his body would help facilitate that color change. - Danny's half-dead status: I don't really know how to explain how I think of his physiology/existence. I would argue he was infused with ectoplasm inside the portal's start-up and the massive amounts of electricity and ectoplasmic energy allowed for biochemical infusion or whatnot to happen. I'm not science-y enough to elaborate more on my thoughts... (I'm open to discussion on this.) - Jack is the mechanical/physical genius, Maddie is the chemical/biological genius. - Valerie's mother is dead, not divorced. Her father always seems like he's been through a lot to me. The soft way he talks, especially with Valerie (apart from lecturing her) just says "painful, nostalgic memories of your mother whenever I look at you" to me. - Maurice Foley is an accountant. I can't put my finger on why exactly, he just screams "accountant." His mom stays at home, as seen in "Life Lessons" when she's home mid-afternoon making cookies for a bake sale. - Wes Weston (and similarly enlightened people) exist. I mean, come on, the entire town can't all be THAT oblivious. But, Danny probably doesn't know they do and they keep their knowledge to themselves. Except for Wes, obviously, because he wants to watch Danny's world burn. POP QUIZ WHERE I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER: What's the opposite of shipping? Where you want people to not be in a relationship? Is it anti-shipping? Because I anti-ship a lot more than I ship. |
