Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Flash. WARNING. English is not my first language. My writing is legible, but there are still some minor mistakes. I do not have a Beta Reader and I chose not to because writing fanfics is practice to me. If you're uncomfortable, do not proceed to read. If you do, but wish to correct an obvious mistake, I accept any constructive criticism via PM or in the comment section. Hello, readers! I'm Mirage and like everyone in this site, I love to read and write fanfiction. I write fanfiction mainly because it helps me develop my writing skills in English - my second language. So, most of the time I'm experimenting. I'm a little bit obsessive when it comes to TV shows, and - well, I may end up writing half of them. So far, my stories don't involve changing the main plot. Yes, my characters are self-inserted, but I focus more on them being independent beings who think by their own... while heavily influenced by the canon story and characters. Maybe in the future I'll try to write an AU story from something but at the moment, I'm taking baby steps. April 24th, 2017: Hello readers. I'm crossMIRAGE19, and first of all, thank you for visiting my profile (and possibly reading my stories). Today, two years ago, was my last update in The Barton Saga Book Four: The Masks We Wear, and I'd like to apologize for that. But I am an university student, and my career right now is my main priority (and it doesn't help that I love it) so I'm in a bit of a pause. This doesn't mean I've stopped writing the Barton Saga. In between projects, I re-read my stories (the first that were published, and then the "rewrites")... and they're laughable. Not in the bad sense - they are laughable because when I started, I didn't know how to write in English but the narrative was legible. Fanfiction to me was a project of sorts: it helped me develop writing skills in my second language, and while everything I wrote was cringe-worthy, I learned. I learned a lot. Before, I couldn't tell the difference between your and you're and didn't know why an apostrophe was needed (and sadly, it showed in my writing); today, I can tell even the smallest mistakes and cry because they change the whole context. I see my own errors and feel happy because, to me, Fanfiction was a long journey in which not only I grew up as a writer and an English-speaker, it also helped me grow into the person I am. It opened my eyes to so many possibilities as well as recognize good constructive criticism. It helped me unleash my imagination and think - to hell with it. By no means I am an excellent writer - I'm no expert in the language and I still have problems while narrating, but my work is aceptable in comparison to other works. So, I've not stopped writing. If anything, I began to improve and delete what I think wasn't appropriate (and wow, my fifteen and eighteen-year-old selves were really ignorant in so many aspects). But I also don't want to be one of those writers that keep their stories on hiatus for a long time or never return. So I have chosen to rewrite all my stories (again), and finish the fourth book in Anya's journey. Once I do, I will take another pause and begin to write the fifth book; when it's finished, I will continue with Half-Blood Prince but in the meantime, I will update the finished story. I will the same for the sixth and seventh books once I'm through them. Do not fret. I have progressed a lot more than I would've before. My goal is to start updating again in late May, but I will definitely return to Fanfiction in June of this year. August 27th, 2018: A year later from last announcement, and I broke my promise. This is my final year at university (I've got two semesters left) and while I'd like to say I'm not busy, that's not the case. However, I haven't been idle these last months. Due to complications with the previous drafts (and my life in general), I decided to rewrite the Barton Saga - again. And I've got all my drafts ready up to fourth year. For the first book, I'll be posting one chapter per day. From the second and forward, it will be a chapter per week. This is because first year is as ready as it can't be, while the rest are subject to change. It also gives me time to pan out the last three years while checking details from previous moments. I'm no J.K. Rowling, but I'll do my best to not leave plot holes. It's been roughly five years since I began. I'm not planning to abandon Anya Barton without telling her story. And boy - I'm so ready to see your reactions.
