this is the best one shot i ever read

I always thought the reason Snape hated James so passionately even so many years after his death wasn't really because of the bullying or because Lily chose him, but because deep down he knew Lily chose correctly. James Potter loved Lily Evans more and better than he could, and Snape knew it, and that hurt worse than anything else. This story really shows that.

This is probably the best thing I’ve ever read. Honestly, the way you carried the story, from the beginning to the end, was beautiful, and I loved it. My favourite part is when he proposed. The way you described the words, with the wind carrying the letters, and every beautiful syllable, I just... it’s beautiful. The way you portray the characters is so realistic, and the way you make me feel about practically everything is just so wonderful it’s scary. This one shot changed the way I write, and I thank you for that. I’ve read this at least twenty times, and I’m going to go back and read it again.
