Isnt' Kagome slightly OOC? In the manga she's always the friendly, cheerful and outgoing one in the group, the one who brought them all together. One of Kagome's character's important theme is companionship. Besides, she always kept a degree of normalcy in her life despite all the hectic battles with youkai and ghosts in the Sengoku Jidai. Heck, even in the Noh mask and Mayu the poltergist arc she acted with a cool head in the presence of her friends. So it's slightly awkward to read a brooding, gloomy, serious and unsocial. And Sango the friendly welcoming one. It's like the roles have been completely reversed with their meeting!

This was an amazing story! I was right about who the killer was though the moment he was first introduced. I had a weird feeling about him and that one scene when they ran into him. Anyway, utterly amazing and extremely thrilling, riveting, and enthralling. Good job!

I'm so glad I found this story, and I'm so glad that you were able to finish it! I just started reading last night, and I definitely could tell your writing matured and your vision for the story blossomed as the story progressed. It was really cool to see that difference.

I'm also grateful I didn't have to wait the 11 years with your other fans for this great story to be completed! I got to come it with it nice and toasty and ready to be consumed. It's been a real treat. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and the evolution of the story you wanted to tell in your final Author's Notes. I loved the extra insight.

I think I'm crying, this story was heartbreaking since so many people died. And the somewhat sad music that I'm listening to right now is not helping. But, overall, AMAZING fan fic!

Wow. I first read this story years ago. At least 7-8 years ago I think. In fact, I think we might have corresponded on msn before. I was called heya-gurl? I stopped reading fanfiction a while back but then got back into it again. But I kinda jumped fandoms and never really went back to Inuyasha.

Had this random idea to see my past account's favourite stories and reread the ones o really liked. Was quite excited when I saw this story was finally finished. I have read many many fanfics but yours always left unforgotten! I'm so glad I finally got to finish it. I love everything about this. Thank you for finally finishing it.

That was amazing. I have no other word to describe it. You kept the mystery to the end, and had the characters act believably for their situations. Excellent read.

Excellent. I wasn't with you from the beginning or anything like that, but your writing is wonderful all the way through. You have an ability with words, even 11 years ago, that allows you to tell a clear story. It's a skill a lot of writers don't have, so kudos. An engaging plot and lovable/hatable character portrayal made it a great fanfic. If this continues into your original writing, you'll be able to create a best seller no problem. ;) (I do some original writing myself. Simply that. Wow. You blew me away. Made me laugh. Made me have tears in my eyes. Made me quote you to my friends (Miroku's distress over Sango's "severe" birthday gift test). Please continue to share your talent with the fanfic community. You have the abilities to be published with your own set of characters if you haven't accomplished this feat already.

I had to go back and skim through some of the previous chapters to remember what had happened... Aha, well, I did start reading this fic about 10 years ago (I still can't believe that), so not the full 11 years. But really, it feels like the end of an era. Congratulations on finally finishing this fic!

And wow, I don't even know what else to say beyond that. The tension in the last few chapters is palpable... and the revelation with Souta! Reading these final chapters has reminded me of why I loved this story all those years ago... and still do! The plot is fit for biting into, the dialogue is highly engaging, and actually, I love how the tone of the story shifted from Kagome to Inuyasha. It's as if the story itself is a representation of Kagome's character development- going from herself to Inuyasha, as you said. Sometimes writing chapter-by-chapter can be pretty revealing about an author's style!

Let's see... if I had to offer a critique it would be: Inuyasha's decision to push Kagome away to "keep her safe" was made with very little foreshadowing. At least, Inuaysha isn't really shown to arrive at this realization- it just kind of happens, so the reader is initially just as in-the-dark at Inuyasha's change as Kagome. This isn't a big critique at all, really. Especially if it was something you intended. Just something I noticed. So if you ever decide to clean this up for an original work... there's something. (And "weeding out the demon aspect" could turn out to be pretty easy, if you wanted to keep going with the 'strength of ancestry' thread... Plus, the main plot-point of "visions" is already at the supernatural.)

So I guess I should finish this by saying congratulations again! It's been a fun... decade. (Whoa.) I can't even begin to tell you how much this story and you as an author inspired my younger self all of those years ago. Again: it's the end of an era.
And Evanescence, oh my gosh the flashbacks. I actually opted for a Gregorian Chant remix of 'Bring Me to Life' for the Epilogue, for some reason. It still fit, though.

Whoh! Heart was in my throat there! I was afraid you were goin to kill them all off. I'm still a little miffed about Kagura being gone; would have added a little more drama and angst if she had lived, I think.
