I’ve been following along with this series for a while now and it was very quickly deemed as one of my all time favorites. I love how well the story is able to capture the emotions and conflictions going on during this time and I really like how it doesn’t really switch between different characters POVs that much, for me it makes it more personable between the reader and Zelina and I really enjoyed that. I can’t wait to read the next one!

Please let the reason that the younglings were taught to shield themselves from the force is that they’ll be able to hide themselves when Anakin goes on his murder spree

I will say this one massive improvement you can make is to add in a line or a break when you change scenes because it can be like wait what oooh the scene changed ok

More amazingness with Satine getting in on the action; I'm so happy that you continually bring her in and remind us how Zelina's presence has already changed the galaxy. I love how Zelina is so obvious that OBI-WAN (aka the guy who called Satine "just a friend") knows what she's feeling... and that Anakin is still somehow oblivious. Still, that makes me wonder about the rest of the Jedi Order; is it like "don't ask, don't tell" where they're okay with it as long as no actual romance is taking place? Or are they just as oblivious as Anakin.
Speaking of, we see a bit more aggressiveness with him here and it's interesting how possessive he is over securing her as Luke's teacher. I know he wants the best for his son, but I can't feel like this is also his way of making sure Zelina will always be close to him and his family. I also like how you brought up the fact that Zelina didn't bring up controversial topics when teaching and focused mostly on the basics (though it is interesting that lightsaber forms are being prioritized over diplomacy / conflict resolution / other important aspects of being a Jedi).
I love Zelina's conversations with Padme and Obi-Wan; while a lot of their conversation is about Anakin, they are also Zelina's friends and she theirs, meaning they have their non-Anakin topics to talk about. Also, question, are Mon Mothma/Bail Organa's presence in this chapter a reference to Padme's deleted scenes where she basically founded the political origins of the Rebellion? If so, cool! While I understand why those scenes were cut, it's nice to not have Padme just be "Anakin's wife and Luke/Leia's mother."

You do a good job at illustrating Zelina's differences from other Jedi. She seems so much more laid back, painting a figurine while doing research (that also is conveniently related to a secret attachment). I also appreciate how she does her best to remain a neutral source of reason for Anakin in her attempt to connect with him about both the Council and the Chancellor's decisions.
God, I knew it was coming but the deaths of the prisoners is still so brutal and horrible, especially compounded by the Jedi Council's refusal to do anything. It just goes to show that Ahsoka was right to leave, especially since they refused to learn anything from her framing and leaving. I do think going right back into the Jedi talking to her about the war effort/training younglings is a little abrupt, but I suppose it also shows how stretched thin the Jedi are if they're trying to get Zelina "Once Jumped on top of the Zillo Beast" Du'ahn to teach kids responsibility and forethought.
I also love getting to see Satine and Padme get to be Zelina's counsel; we don't have enough female friendships in Star Wars and getting to see three powerful women together, fixing the problems of the galaxy is amazing. If the two of them had survived past Revenge of the Sith, the Star Wars universe would have been entirely different.
Also, thought just occurred to me, but will you be adding chapters for the Mandalore arc when the new season of The Clone Wars premiers, especially since it's supposed to be happening concurrently with Revenge of the Sith? I think your story works either way.

Palpatine: Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?
Anakin: No.
Palpatine: I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create... life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about... from dying.
Anakin: He could actually... save people from death?
Palpatine: The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
Anakin: What happened to him?
Palpatine: He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power...which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death... but not himself.
Anakin: Is it possible to learn this power?
Palpatine: Not from a Jedi.

Darth Maul: (Via hologram) There will be more innocent blood on your hands, Kenobi, unless you come here, face me. Come alone and if you do not, this world... (Cuts down a whole row of civilians with his lightsaber) will burn!
Obi-Wan Kenobi: (Once the call is over) I have to go.
Mace Windu: Not alone you're not. We'll send a task force with you.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: No, you see what he's capable of. He's a broken, unbalanced monster. I've dealt with him before. I can do it again.
Mace Windu: I disagree. This is clearly a trap.
Yoda: Against my better judgment, agree with Master Kenobi, I do. Finish what he started long ago, Obi-Wan must.
Obi-Wan Kenobi: I'm off to Raydonia.
(Obi-Wan leaves)
Mace Windu: Master Yoda, if this is indeed Darth Maul, his capture is far too important to leave it to Obi-Wan alone.
Yoda: Mmm. Not alone will Kenobi be, an unexpected ally he may have. Trust the Force, we must.

Darth Maul: My hatred kept my spirit intact even though my body was not. As I was lost and became a rabid animal, and such is how you found me, brother. Discarded, forgotten... I have missed so much. The force feels... out of balance.
Savage Opress: Yes, there is conflict. The Clone Wars.
Darth Maul: Ah, yes. So it began... without me.
Savage Opress: You can begin again, brother?
(Holds out Maul's lightsaber)
Darth Maul: (Uses the force to grab the lightsaber out of Savage's hand) I was apprentice to the most powerful being in the galaxy once. I was destined to become... so much more. But I was robbed of that destiny by the Jedi, by Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Savage Opress: Then you must have your revenge, my brother.
Darth Maul: Yes, we will start with revenge...

Good chapter, and thanks for having Zelina put her Vapaad in action. You did a great job with this chapter and very good job on the duel between her and Sidious. I didn’t know if you’d do your own version of Duel Of The Fates or who would fight who.

I was surprised by this cliffhanger and the announcement of a fifth book. I thought you were only going to create a trilogy and with the hopes that it would end with Sidious’s defeat and then Zelina with the Skywalker family setting down somewhere, along with Obi-Wan and Satine, and then all of them would live happily ever after. I did not expect for you to continue to “Episode IV”.

Out of curiosity, were you originally going to write this as a trilogy but changed your mind, or were you always intending to continue through the original trilogy ?

I’m happy that you had Zelina cut Sidious’s hand. Hopefully that means he’ll be a little weaker.

As for my question above, never mind. I just noticed you said that you had this cliffhanger planned for years.

I’m surprised that Padme and Obi-Wan are in trouble. I thought Zelina’s soldiers would be nearby. I hope neither of them are dead and I also hope that Zelina’s alive as well.

I’m glad that Anakin is starting to turn to the light and also hope that Sidious is now dead even if it does not mean the fall of the empire. And I hope Anakin won’t have to wear that suit.

Could you please consider adding a new chapter for the new book a little later this week if you’re able to do so ? My birthday is in a few days from now.
