Requesting FAQs - READ BEFORE YOU REQUEST!

Since I've been generating some new content, I've been getting more requests, and honestly I should've outlined dos&don'ts a looong time ago. So here are a few things to note before you request!

1. Honestly, I take requests from readers who have actually read something I wrote. If you come at me with only a request, even if it's left as a "review" or "comment" on a fic, I'm GOING to ignore it. So just show me you read my writing and actually enjoyed it–after all, that's why you should be requesting, not simply because I'm an author open to requests. It's 2020–I need to put my foot down on this, especially to help me wade through the number of requests I'm getting.
2. Be polite. Seriously. And be kind if your request doesn't get written.
3. Be careful on the specifics. If you request "Draco x Ron, family life, kids or no, bickering over how to spend the holidays," that’s a GREAT prompt–nice and simple, lets me fill in the blanks! :D If you specify "Draco x Ron, only been together for two years, Draco’s into self-harm, Ron is struggling being estranged from his family, their relationship is love-hate, oh and they're thinking of moving to America so their kids will attend Ilvermorny over Hogwarts," that's…a mouthful, and the more specifics I get, the less interested I'll be in writing it. Hey, I might agree that sounds like an interesting story to read! But I don’t always read what I write nor write what I read.
4. For tiny word drabble series (like you're nobody until somebody loves you and Counting Backwards), keep your request to a ship & prompt, where the prompt is a random word, an era, a setting, or a genre. After all, it's only a hundred words! :O
5. Don't ask for a multi-chapter fic. It's one thing if an idea grabs me and a story gets looong, but outright asking for this is rude. I gift and have gifted my friends over the years with stories of various lengths, but that's at my discretion.
6. Please don't request anything Cursed Child. I don't accept its canon, but I am not going to bash anyone for liking it. I simply dislike it. So things from the books, original 8 movies, and my Maydayverse are my playgrounds in the fandom.
7. If you do request something, please read and review it. That's honestly how this should work, because it's kind of like bartering. You took the time to request, I took the time to write it, and now you get to read something just for you! :)

themes I don't write:

-bestiality
-drugs & heavy drinking (I'm not big on one-night stand stories or charries getting plastered)
-abuse (like, making a kink of it–sometimes abuse of different kinds is referred to, depending on the storyline, but it's never glorified)
-self-harm, mental-health pieces, or disorders
-some incest (I only write cousincest and same-sex twincest; I have written aunt/niece before, so you can req it or uncle/nephew, but it depends)
-fandom AUs (like a Supernatural AU, or a Star Wars AU, etc.)
-time travel (I'm not even a big fan of reading it, tbqh)

ships I don't write:

-Drarry, Snarry, TomHarry
-Blackcest (whether SiriusRegulus or any form of BellatrixAndromedaNarcissa)
-many Hermione ships (usually the age-gap ones, pairing her with Lucius, Sirius, Remus, Bellatrix, Narcissa, McGonagall); I do have a few Snemione WIPs, but I'm not as big on that ship anymore and Hermione isn't a favorite character, so unless it's Percy/Hermione or a Hermione rarepair, I'm not very interested

Also, even though I dislike the Golden Trio, I still write them and even their canon ships.

NOTES:

Any fic that has Maydayverse in its summary means that it belongs to my major head-canon, my May Day universe. This is my ultimate head-canon. Combining most of JKR's pre- and post-Epilogue canon with holes I've filled with missing plotlines, the May Day universe largely stems from things we saw coming from the major storyline from the books and movies, but it often focuses on how May 1st-2nd, 1998, greatly changed everything. Many of my fics will now be found in this universe since they fit and it's the head-canon I love the most. Details from the books and movies may sometimes be smushed together, jsyk. Current fics that actually belong to the Maydayverse include all my Jamestins, "No-Fly Zone," "Betting on Bludgers," "the girl with the pink ribbon," "the loss they didn't yet know," "Nothing to Do," "Zugzwang," "I'm Only Paying My Respects," "if you fall at midnight," "A Life Well-Lived," "HELLO? HELLO? LIAR LIAR," until the ride ends & even after that, and other assorted fics. I'll at least be editing summaries if not fics to mention that they are part of the Maydayverse. MOST of these fics are Trio-era, but some fics may be Marauder-era since that influenced the Trio era while others may be Next-gen since the Trio era influenced the Next-gen. M&MWPs do happen in the Maydayverse.

Any fic that has ToFuverse in its summary means that it belongs to my 2nd-largest head-canon. "ToFu" is short for "To the Future," the title of my 2nd ever major HariPo story and my 1st head-canon, pre-Maydayverse. It has nothing to do with the Maydayverse and involves a lot of old pairings and charries I loved before I even began M&MWPs with Morghen. Fics included are: To the Future, In the Present, From the Past, and At the Moment. Others are planned but will only be done once I actually finish these four main stories.

Any fic that has AphReject in its summary means it's an Aphrodite's Rejects pairing, and therefore was discovered by either BlueMango or me, so please give a little mention if you use that weird PJO pairing. We'd appreciate it a lot! Thanks!
