You look at the vacant seat beside you and then at the taken one beside him. The jealousy starts in your teeth, the tips of your canines, slowly dissipating through your being until there is not one part of you that remains untouched by the ill feeling.

You've always been two halves of a whole so it's no surprise to you that green taints you both, though different shades of envy and emerald. The lust that fills you comes as less of a shock than you wish to admit, but instead of revealing it, you disguise it in disgust. Desperate attempts made to sway him (because if he could just let go, then you know these feelings would disappear), to change his mind and open his eyes to whom he's keeping in his company and bed have been made, but to no avail.

And as lust intensifies in your twin's heart, the mirrored feeling appears in your own. You find yourself wondering what he looks like early in the morning before any other eyes have fallen upon his face, wondering what his sigh sounds like as it is coaxed out of his lips by Gideon's touch, wondering if the skin on the insides of his thighs is as smooth as that on his cheeks.

It's wrong, these thoughts and feeling are wrong, but you've always longed for what you lack and what Gideon has.

So why would Regulus be an exception?
