In the first "book" I wrote as an kid, everything turned lilac for no other reason than I thought it was a cool word at the time. I'd like to think that I write better now, but it might just be wishful thinking on my part.

About Me:

I'm a strong believer in keeping fanfic as close to canon as possible. It's the insights into the small details that the original author didn't have time to embellish that make the story for me. That said, if it's written well (and it's fairly clean), I'm probably willing to read it.

I have a soft spot for good Peggy Sue fic, bizarre things that make sense in context, originality, and stuff that generally blows my mind.

About My Writing:

My first fanfic, George Weasley and the Computational Error, began as a thought experiment:

Who, of the characters alive at the end of Deathly Hallows, would be the most likely to go back in time to fix things?

J.K. Rowling gave her living characters good lives for the most part. Do you really think Harry would abandon James, Albus, Lily, and Ginny to go through his horrible teenage years all over again? I don't think so. There wasn't really a strong incentive for anyone I could think of—except for George Weasley (side note: a reader later suggested Andromeda Tonks to me as another possible candidate for time-travel, which I fully endorse, but am probably not going to write about her anytime soon). George obviously did his best to move on with life—he went on to have a family of his own, after all—but I truly believe that he would jump at the chance to see his twin brother alive again. Thus we have the seed for my story.

This fic was based on some fairly silly premises and that was absolutely intentional. Having a completely serious story would be an insult to the memory of the Pranksters-in-Chief, but I couldn't keep it 100% lighthearted either. I tried keep a balance between the silly and the angst—you'll have to be the judge as to whether I succeeded.

My next story was a product of the first: Remus Lupin and the Computational Error. It is a sequel that takes place further in the past—and no, that doesn't make it a prequel. Since Remus is not particularly fun as an adult, this story could not be was its predecessor was in terms of humor. Actually, it is different in quite a few ways, the most important of which is that it is shorter. I consider the George story to be superior overall, but this one still has some nice moments that I hope you’ll enjoy.
