C chapter 15 . 5/16 This is absolutely incredible! This may just be the best reveal story that I have ever read. The emotions felt so real, and the characters were all beautifully written. I particularly liked that Merlin's magic wasn't revealed to everyone at the same time (I absolutely adored the reveal to Guinevere, and the back story you wrote for Percival was sheer brilliance). Your antagonist was extremely well written and downright frightening at times. Also, the way you wrote the bond between Arthur and Merlin is both awe inspiring and heartwarming. You have done a truly spectacular job with this story: it is amazingly original and the writing itself is beautiful. You are amazing. Thank you for all of the hard work and dedication you have put into this story, the effort really shines through. Thank you, and best wishes~ |
gaylelbf chapter 15 . 2/29 An awesome adventure! |
MerlinFreya27 chapter 15 . 10/23/2019 This was amazing! Well done. I loved every second of it and the only thing I'd say to add was Merlin drunk! What would he do? I laughed loads, and at times I was smiling so much it hurt! Thank you thank you thank you. |
KillaD chapter 4 . 9/29/2019 I think Arthur is called the bear, because Art means in old english bear |
mickynoodles chapter 15 . 7/25/2019 I love this story because Arthur SEES! He doesn’t incriminate, or scold Deagoon/Merlin; he listens and wants to understand. |
MadameMorganLeFay chapter 3 . 2/6/2019 I enjoyed the scenic description throughout this chapter. The mood changes from just a standard day to panic and then finally terror. That was nicely handled. I perhaps would have cut back on some of what Arthur and Merlin were feeling, if they were already inherent in the context. However, no harm done. Oh- and actually, those working in monasteries or churches during the Medieval era did have concerns for cleanliness and I think that England attained some of its first Public cleanliness laws during this time. So you aren't entirely inaccurate. Remember that the "Merlin" series contains many anachronisms, of which hand sanitiser is the least! |
MadameMorganLeFay chapter 2 . 2/6/2019 An entertaining chapter. I would comment on some stylistic elements of the dialogue that did hold it back a little (though not in humor), but I know you have already developed since then. The humor was good and I liked Merlin's miscalculation, for all his snark. |
MadameMorganLeFay chapter 1 . 2/6/2019 What a chilling opening! You brought life to a depraved and violent character. The snake part was cool! I thought the flashbacks were integrated well throughout the chapter, with quite a lot left to the imagination. Who was the girl, for instance? Great work. |
trekmel chapter 15 . 10/24/2018 Brilliant! Thank you for this wonderful story. I needed this as I just love reveals and this one just flowed and was so "real" ! :) |
trekmel chapter 14 . 10/24/2018 Oh I love how Arthur instinctively knew it was him and even called him by name while he still wore the Dragoon persona. nicely done! |
TeddyBlake chapter 14 . 9/3/2018 YEAAAAAAAAAH ! |
Nocturnal Storyteller chapter 15 . 5/19/2018 This story is really good! |
Sealure chapter 3 . 4/21/2018 True, cleanliness wasn’t a huge concern back then, but this is Gaius. Pretty sure it was a huge concern to him, so this definitely works! |
Hathor chapter 15 . 1/19/2018 Great story and lovely writing style. Excellently portrayed characters, very moving descriptions - from the battle to Gwaine's cheeky comments, I actually felt all it. Too good! |
Crystalzap chapter 15 . 12/2/2017 this was really awesome! Arthur was more easy to ignore Merlin's deception than he should have been, not that I don't think he should, and would have forgiven it but you'd think he would at least say something about the lie and such. Otherwise this was very well done and thought out Merlin hiding his identity to the bitter end with 'Dragoon' , the dragon laughing at him for it and blatantly refusing to play along but not outright calling him on it either, was all brilliant! And Merlin sneaking out with Lancelot, his friendships with all of them, just wonderfully done! :D |
