Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter, and Book Thief. Update: 29/July/2016. Nope, I'm not dead. For those of you wondering why I haven't updated My Reflections in so long, it's not because I've lost interest. Please understand that I've changed, so much now, as a person. I started writing the story when I was about 15, back when my identity was still so fluid. Even now, one of the greatest strengths I pride myself in owning is empathy. I believe this is why I write my stories the way they are - I honestly detest the idea of The Bad Guy, or even The Good Guy. I love the morally ambiguous, the character who turns around in the last instant to redeem himself, when everything is already too late and he's lost his audience. That's what I love about writing fanfiction - you get to mould these characters, bend and straighten them. I absolutely love doing that. So what's changed? The problem with empathy is that I am incredibly in tune with my flaws. I've gone through a period of mental decline - I promise I'll get better, but just not today. I've got the next 15,000 words of this story finished and sitting on my laptop, as it has for the last three years, and I have a clear enough picture of how this story will go, but I just can't bear this anymore. I'm so sorry for disappointing you, and me. I promise, promise that I will do this again. I promise to never start another story without seeing it to the end. I want to see my characters to the end of their journey, and I want to give my future readers the chance to say goodbye. You will hear of me again - maybe without knowing it, your eyes will one day glaze past my name in print. I have no illusions that when I've reached a point in my life where I've learnt how to deal with myself, I will write the story I was meant to write. Till then, stay safe, my small world.
