A Year Like None Other

A popular and well-loved fanfic. If you haven't read it, set aside some time and do so. One of the first "Snape mentors Harry" stories, and highly addictive.

Summary: Harry's determined to ignore the strange letter from the Dursleys. But a rival spots the letter and his slimy excuse for a teacher forces him to read it. And that sends Harry down a path he'd never have walked on his own.

Potions and Snitches

An archive for "Snape mentors Harry" stories. No HP/SS slash allowed, so you can enjoy father/son and mentor/student stories without the weirdness of it mixing in your brain with slash stories. Easy to navigate, and well-loved stories are giving high ratings and "featured story" status.

Cambiare Podentes: Invocare (part 1) and Madurare (part 2)

Summary: A new prophecy comes to light, one that promises death for Harry Potter and enslavement for the wizarding world, unless Harry himself consents to being sexually enslaved--irrevocably and for life--to Severus Snape.

HP/SS slash totally allowed here, and in great detail. So I won't link to it, in case it's against the terms of service. But it's well worth a read. Author Jordan Grant takes on the sexual enslavement fic as a personal challenge, overturning the humiliation aspects and using the premise to show the development of a loving relationship against all odds. In this story, Harry's enemy/obsession isn't Snape - it's the bondage spell and his own fears about how it defines him.

Updates

4/1/15:

Chapters 1-5 of Never Say Remember have been polished and copy-edited (see Acknowledgements, above). No major changes, plot-wise. I'm going deeper into the heads of the characters and fixing a few problems that sharp-eyed reviewers pointed out.

4/28/14:

I believe someone was translating Never Say Remember into French, but I lost track of the person. If you have a link to the translation, PM me, and I'll add it here.
