I know this is an old fanfic, but I am very glad I read it! I’ve never actually seen the movie (thank god) but I’m aware of its shortcomings and more infamous scenes. Something I picked up from this, and I could be wrong since again I haven’t seen the movie, but Iroh (or Eeroh) seems to be the least bad character of the main cast. Other than the obvious look change (which is an out of nowhere change not going to lie) he seems to have the same personality and wisdom of actual Iroh, maybe not quite as refined but not cringeworthy-bad like every other live action character (not that I blame the actors). I wonder how that came to be? Anyway great fanfic I applaud your masterful breaking of the forth wall!

The sad thing is that this is one of the best Kataang fanfics I've read so far. The part in the beginning before the movie scene started was just effortlessly sweet, and they've been helping and supporting each other the whole time in a way that feels very authentic and like a natural, in-character progression from canon.

...but Toph is blind! How did she see the hair cutting? She's also tiny, so how did she hold back Sockson? (I wouldn't ask for logical consistency if this story hadn't been pretty consistent so far.)

Lol. The Avatar has to teach the Ahvatar about balance. Nice.

What really makes this story is how the existential weirdness and horror is used for plot and character development instead of poorly glossed over like usual.

The characters' reactions to the idea that they're in a fanfiction was pretty great. I liked how there was a variety of reactions, with Zuko not understanding. Made it less stale. (I've seen and been bored by lower-quality meta-humor like this before.)

I havent actually watched the movie (everyone says it's terrible, what's the point of watching it anyway?) but still... this was sooo much fun.

The only thing missing is a description of Yue's hair. I believe they grew longer when she saw Sokka.

OMG! I really love ur fanfic (even though it was rather illogical ). I think zuko being oblivious to the fourth wall was hilarious and the way katara and sokka kept calling katarola cupcake and making fun of her and sockson was quite amusing (though I could have done without the part where sockson was hitting on katara...EWWW..)Suki , katara ,aang and sokka all coming down with the bad dialogue flu was funny and Zutara?ooh..no go. Awng's convo and battle with LORD SHYAMLAN was similar to Aang's battle with ozai(jerkbender) and who knew katara had a vast knowledge of profanity?...
Anyway.. love ur fanfic keep posting oh-and BTW keep aang away from katarola in the meantime a ND cactus juice away from him and zuko

Ohh my god, I just joined the fandom and literally just finished reading this fanfic, and all the fourth-wall breaking, meta jokes are making my head hurt . . .

Oh God that was hilarious! I feel like you were drinking cactus juice while writing this. It's just so crazily AMAZING! I loved it. And the fourth wall thing. Lol. I think by far this is my favourite fan fiction in the world.

Yeah, the whole Aang thing bothered me too. Because A) it totally contradicts one of the most important plot points of season three, namely that Zuko is a descendant of Avatar Roku, and B) why would a twelve-year-old boy care about having a family?
This is super hilarious so far. I haven’t seen The Last Airbender in years, but the first time I saw it I knew it was stupid.

This is just the first chapter, and it's already glorious.
