My favourite aspect of your story was the journey of young Prince Arthur - seeing his heart change towards young Merlin, and his transformation through the course of the story from a bully to a selfless hero. I really loved his character by the end! :)
From a writing point of view, I liked the way you structured the narrative, especially your presentation of Merlin's original magic reveal in fragments instead of all at once -it really built anticipation for discovering the whole story.
The plot was SO good - full of twists and turns that kept me hooked throughout. And King Arthur's progression in the story, with him learning to fully trust adult Merlin was so satisfying and heart warming to see fulfilled in the end :D

This was so gooooooood! Such an amazing story. It made me recall Mario & Luigi: Partner's in Time haha, especially when the four characters were working together in the 2nd half. I especially loved the end. I don't think I've read a story where the character is constantly losing all sense of who and where they are to such a surreal point. I ususally see it done the other way around, where a character starts with no memory in the begining but regains all of it throughout the story so I think it made for a very unique kind of climax in it's ending. This story is so well structured. The flow and chain of perspectives and events were very well built. Every detail mentioned in this story matters and it was amazing to see it come all the way around again. I completely forgot about the wards when Morgana finally faces them! So what Athur did to save Merlin caught me by surprise. It's interesting that you decided to not distinguish the 4. Usually I think it would of been confusing (there was maybe only one or twice I got them wrong) but it was surprisingly easy to tell which Arthur and Merlin was which. I think you managed to write each time you were addressing them uniquely enough to tell. Most of all, I loved the friendship and the development of that through each side. I feel like writing past/present stories like this and keeping a handle of all the correlating events that ecentually tie themselves together would be very confusing to write so the fact that you did it in such a well-captivating and constantly engaging way is amazing. You wrote it really well.

Anyways, I really loved this story! I just started reading fic in this fandom and this is already my favorite one! Thank you for sharing it :)

What can I say about this fic... this fic that is so awesome that I could reread it a dozen times and still want to go back for some more... your fics are really really really awesome... Please keep writing more Merlin fics... maybe we can have one where they are actually brothers... every time I hear the phrase two sides of the same coin, and the more I see them, they feel more like twins... like brothers more than just friends... I would love to read a fic where they'd actually be brother separated at birth or during childhood... I dont know... but I simply loved the fic... so thanks for the good read, please write more soon

Loved this story so much, probably one of my favourite Merlin fanfics. I especially liked how you covered what happened in the time after the magic reveal and how Arthur and Merlin had to adjust to it, even after Arthur let Merlin back into Camelot. The whole story was well crafted and well written, I can't believe it's taken me this long to find and read it!

The contrast between Merlin and Arthur is really amplified in their younger selves. Brilliant chapter.

This is honestly one of the most beautiful fics I've ever read and one of the best depictions of the Merlin/Arthur friendship. You made me almost cry several times. You certainly made me feel lumps in my throat. It was fascinating to see the relationships between the young and old Merlin and Arthur. Also I have to agree completely with the person whose review stating this story making up for Series 5. There were a couple grammatical and spelling errors here and there but that didn't detract too much from my overall enjoyment.

Beautiful. There were so many things that irritated me about season 5, and I think this cleared up most of them. But the interactions between the older- and younger selves, the memories fading, brilliant. Loved it :D
