Long time no see! It's been forever and a day it seems.

First off, I want to apologize to everyone that has put my story/stories on fave or alert. I'm *very* sorry for going AWOL for so long. In December of 2009 my father passed away. Between family, anger and depression, I lost my mojo. I even stopped reading fanfiction. I know, blasphemy, but it happens.

Between that time and now, work has gotten chaotic, received a promotion (and triple the work to go with it), more importantly, met the man of my dreams. We had moved to Orlando and have since bought a home about an hour north of there. Since we've been settling in, I've begun reading FF's again. Oh how I have missed them so very much. It's also had me thinking about picking up History Lessons again, finishing that off and getting to work on a story that hasn't stopping tapping at the back of my brain since early 2009. Pesky little thing it is. Once I can get a few chapters built up and have stalked my wonderful beta to help me along, I'll begin posting on a normal schedule again (hopefully). When that happens I'll post an AN on the story itself.

Before the world of fanfiction, with just the books and movies, I would have said I was totally Team Edward. All that changed when I opened my eyes to one hot cowboy (a.k.a. Jasper). Military, Texan, rugged, handsome, sexy and that southern drawl, who can say no to that?!? Guess it doesn't hurt that my real-life cowboy is pretty much the same, minus the sparkles. *winl*

My name is Ivy Rain and I am a Jasper-holic. Maybe it's the way he doesn't baby or coddle Bella. Maybe it's that sexy southern drawl that I can absolutely hear in my head as I'm reading. Maybe it's his slightly less then perfect life (or lack thereof). Maybe it's just the way I can picture how sexy he would be in a nice pair of jeans, cowboy boots and hat and no shirt working on the ranch. *drools*
