Howdy!

I am a chaplain and music therapist, who used to work in the special education setting in public schools. Now, I work in a hospice and palliative care setting. I am a first soprano, and flute player (I used to play violin and viola). Because of my music therapy training, I took up guitar and autoharp. I've got ecclectic music tastes; I like selections from just about any genre of music. However, my favourite genres are comedic rock, soft and classic rock (mainly music from the late 60s through early 80s, although I do enjoy some from the 90s, 200s, and even the 2010s), show tunes (like Rogers and Hammerstein), some classic Country (like Patsy Cline and her contemporaries), Classic Christian hymns, and some Contemporary Christian music. I love to sing hymns, especially with my family and close friends. I also love to chord on my guitar and sing along. That's relaxing to me. I'm also a cat freak and photography/scrapbooking nut. I love to read for pleasure, and I'm a movie/DVD junkie. Netflix and probably love me! I love my Roku!

I really enjoy reading Star Trek (all installations of it), Brady Bunch, Law and Order:SVU, Harry Potter, Touched By an Angel, and Partridge Family fanfics. I'm new to writing fanfiction. I like some of the older Lizzie McGuire fanfics, but the fandom is pretty much over (I don't write LM fanfics anymore). So far, have only written for Lizzie McGuire, Brady Bunch, Harry Potter, the Partridge Family and Touched by an Angel. I've not done a Star Trek fic yet as I'm not confident in the technical side of Star Trek. I probably won't write an SVU story either.

I like stories with lots of plot twists and turns. I don't care too much for cliche plots, unless there's a twist within the story. There are some things you won't see in my stories: I won't go into graphic detail on rape or drug use (but may use them as a MINOR plot device), write a character as a homosexual (i HATE slash fics, especially when the characters are so not homosexual), torture (ugh! that gives me nightmares), or anything I've not researched. I do want to respect my readers by being sensitive to them, which means putting appropriate ratings on my stories (erring on the conservative). I try to base my stories in realism: either semi-autobiographical, or very loosely based on encounters with others (personally, stories by others, etc.). I always blur the details so no one can guess unless I say something directly about it.

One more thing, yeah, I love babyfics. You may find that the majority of my stories revolve around this plot device. They do and many of my future stories probably will. I make no apologies for that.
