Notes on "The Child": What you have now are the revised chapters 1 - 4. I started writing this piece 10 years ago, and some things needed to be changed. For the better, of course.
My original intention was to just do a simple rewrite; make Troi the focus of the story. But it turned into a monster. I admit I bit off more than I could chew, and I simply could not make the story work.
Then real life consumed all my time and attention, you know how that goes. Several years of raising little humans. But now that my life has regained some semblance of normalcy, I began once again, to feel the need for a creative outlet. And this unfinished story started nagging me. My muse returned and I figured out how to make the story work, and that got the ball rolling again. I hope to continue at a steady pace right to the end.

Thank you very much to DianeB who beta read this chapter. Several improvements were made thanks to her. I recommend you visit her profile page and read her stories.

Chapter 6 and 7 are being written, but I won't put a date on them.

Notes on "Beyond the Scene: Conundrum": I re-watched this episode (season 5, episode 14) and, as always, felt that what it was missing was more than what was presented to us. And of course, the way it was presented was totally wrong. I write it the way I want it. That's the rule.

I recommend watching the episode beforehand.

Notes on "Beyond the Scene: Manhunt": (season 2, episode 19) Second piece in what I hope to be a nice collection of episode-related scenes. As I wrote in the actual posted piece, the beginning is the actual scene from the episode, with the original dialogue. It is not my creation. But I needed to add it for the purpose of setting the scene for what came next.
