No Shore Leave this year (weep!), but I encourage everyone to participate in all the virtual programming SL continues to set up and to watch the Masquerade. Meanwhile, be safe, wear your mask, keep physically distant, and fergodssake, stop partying and visiting beaches in large, unmasked groups! If you don't, this virus will never release its hold. And while I can't blame a virus for wanting to survive, I wish it had picked cockroaches or houseflies on which to survive, ya know?

Not ashamed to admit it: I'm a blissfully-obsessed Trekker and will be till I die - and probably well after that, too. Still, I find myself not all that crazy about the idea of Sir Patrick Stewart revising his role as Captain Picard - especially because I think it's just a ploy to get people to buy into CBS All Access, so forget that, ya know? UPDATE ON MY FEELINGS: Got a free look at Episode 1 of Star Trek: Picard on the Tube of U, and, oh my, it looks wonderful! (Diane must now agonize over whether or not to invest in CBS All Access for just one show.) UPDATE ON MY UPDATE: Nah.
