Okay, so if I've decided that if I'm going to be posting fic as well as reading it here I should probably try to put together a proper(ish) profile. This will be a work in progress unless I say otherwise (or at least remove this comment.

The Bio:
I'm not really a 'Hilary' or a 'Maggie' but I'll happily answer to either one here. The "Hilary Parker" user name here is an obvious nod to the fandom(Primeval) and ship(Jecker) that brought me here to begin with, while Maggie is the name I am most commonly known by amongst the incredible group of friends I have made online. Also, if anyone cares to know a few of my early reviews here are posted under "Anon".

I am a self-proclaimed Geek and Nerd, and proud to own up to both. I'm old enough to read stories of any rating but I'm rarely bold enough to write anything to adult. I like to think of myself as a Southern Belle with a bit of a New York Edge, given that I was born and raised in Georgia (USA) but one of my earliest and strongest influences was from NYC. Thanks to her I tend to talk fast, and get louder and louder the more excited I am by a conversation topic.

I have been known to describe myself as a 'Poet, Writer, and Cynical Dreamer'. I consider myself a 'hopeful romantic' and you get points if you know where that term comes from for me. I am perpetually single, work a full time job outside the home and am guardian to an absolutely amazing three year old so writing time is whenever I can find it so I might not post too often and I'll tend to limit myself to one shots.

On the subject of slash: To each their own, but I mostly don't get it if its not true cannon and 'bromances' don't cannon slash make in my book.

Original Profile:
I'm a long time fangirl for various fandoms, and yet, I only joined fanfiction.net a week ago after getting bit by a serious shipper oriented love bug for Jess and Becker of Primeval. I'm not sure Ive ever shipped a pairing quite this hard. Now I'm devouring fic and pics and vids like there is no tomorrow, all the while seasons 4 and 5 are being played on loop via my cable company's OnDemand service, and as is plain to see, I even had to go and choose a user name based around the pairing. I have seriously got it bad!

Now I just need to decide on a Jesker avatar.
