I love everything about this. My favorite line: "Because something's not right about you, she thought. Because I'm not bringing a child into this mess of a life. Because I'm starting to prefer honest criminals over lying husbands.". Perfect. I also love that Dembe places more emphasis on goodbyes. I can see this playing out in real life. Her joyless marriage with Tim is much unchanged from the series. He is comfortable and easy to be with, but that is all. I look forward to reading more.
