Desi realizes that she's done something even stupider than hiking into the crater of an active volcano. Meanwhile, after talking to Mac, Jack worries about both of his younger friends, fearing they might break each other's hearts, however unintentionally. The Knight Sir Jack Dalton, the Engineer Angus MacGyver and his childhood best friend Wilt Bozer save the Kingdom of Phoenix from the evil wizard Murdoc, but pay a price in the form of a furry little problem. However, this curse might be a blessing in disguise, giving Mac a chance at a happy ending at last, Jack a second chance, and Bozer a chance to grow.

When life keeps knocking you down, you have to keep getting back up. If anyone understands that, it's Angus MacGyver. In the aftermath of his dad's latest bombshell, Mac's family is there for him, while he misses Jack more than ever and continues to struggle to accept that there really are some problems he can't fix. Afterwards, Bozer is feeling inspired in a culinary sense, Riley is sceptical about his plans for the next big food trend, Mac is grateful for modern medicine (but not for orange Jell-O), and Matty and a distracted Jack are reunited with the young 'uns. They save the world a couple times, kick bad guys' butts, make new friends and enemies, reunite with old ones, and discover carefully-hidden secrets, all as the Phoenix family grows both closer and larger.

Bozer, FBI forensic accountant, falls unbelievably hard and fast for his co-worker Leanna, whom he believes rescued him from a terrible situation. Riley, Mac and Jack, being great friends, are supportive…despite how fast they're moving. "You're getting married?" How many things is Bozer mistaken about?

Emergency repairs might hold for 36 hours or so, but after that, you've got to fix it properly or it'll fall apart. Or, the fallout. Episode tag to 2.23, MacGyver and MacGyver.

In their line of work, everyone's got to be a jack of all trades…and a master of quite a few. Afterwards, Riley and Bozer play therapist for Mac and Jack's co-dependency issues, Riley gets her yenta on, Jill gets her hands dirty (and the pastele recipe) and Matty has to be diplomatic. "Why do we keep going for trouble with a capital T? You know, damsels who bring distress into our lives? The ones where it's complicated is the understatement of the century?" Angus MacGyver. Genius. Billionaire. Philanthropist. Definitely not a playboy. After one too many heartbreaks, Mac's heart is so guarded that his friends fear he'll never find the right one. Throw in a couple of coincidences, some meddling, a hard-working, brilliant, beautiful young doctor and you have a modern-day fairytale.

"In the Old English epic poem Beowulf, the titular character proves his strength at impossible odds against supernatural villains." Mac and Beowulf have more than a little in common. "But unlike Beowulf…I have no intention of trying to slay the dragon without Wiglaf by my side." Tag to 2.17, Bear Trap and Mob Boss.

"I'm sorry, bro." "I do not snore!" "I sound really, really paranoid..." Bozer apologizes to Mac for keeping his relationship a secret, Riley threatens to reveal Bozer's secret to Leanna, and Mac reacts to Matty's. Episode tag to 2.16, Hammock and Balcony.

"There's a storm outside, they got nowhere to go, and they're just kids, Patty, you gotta let them stay!" Orphaned, hunted and desperate, Mac, Bozer and Riley seek refuge in the home of a cursed Queen, said to have a heart of stone. After befriending the castle's also-cursed inhabitants, they try to break the curse…by helping the Queen and her Captain of the Guard fall in love.

How much can your life change in 24 hours? Between 8 PM on February 13th and 8 PM on February 14th, Jack and Diane realize they might still have feelings for each other and contemplate a second chance, Bozer and Riley wonder if their friendship could become something more, and Mac fixes a pretty doctor's car, an incident that leads to them pondering their missed connection.

"I'm the sort of guy who tries to see the best in people. Part of seeing the best in people involves giving the people you think deserve one – so, definitely not Murdoc - second chances…" Mac muses on second chances, finding fairytale endings in his line of work and his dad. Or, another rom-com AU that no-one asked for.
