I actually read this story when you first published it. At the time I really enjoyed it and probably forgot to review as I am notoriously bad at that.

Fast forward to now and I have just rewatched seasons one and two in prep for season 3. I kept feeling I had missed watching an ep somewhere, “have I skipped one?”...
cause I distinctly remember an episode where Mac goes to find his dad, goes to a cabin and Murdoc ambushes him there.

Your story was so good that in my memories I slotted it I to the actual show and a real episode.

I'm back! Lol... took a break to read some other stories and there are lots of good writers out there but you really nail it (at least in MacGyver... I admit I haven't read any of your stories for other fandoms, sorry!) This one was great! So... how about that bombshell of a clue last week? And I feel like they are trying to make us forget about Murdochs comment to Cage so that they can stab us through the heart again when it all hits the fan for her and her "secret identity" or whatever lol. So this new Dr in your story... is it who I hope it is? :D

Apparently I missed all the jokes. Please do tell! (In my defense I watched flashlight and compass with family and we might have talked a little more than just the commercials. Have loved this. The whole thing was so much in tune with the characters and pacing if you were in the USA I'd say apply to write the show. You even get the Mac internal thoughts down right. I can tell its been a labour of love but each posting has been a great read. And as an aside, am not totally on board with Cage in the show, weak back story and a skewered in love story I fear.

Please tell me you're going to write a season 3!

Nice chapter. I also didn't get to watch the episode due to a football game that I was required to go to but, the CBS website has the full length episode. I don't know if it will work where you're at but it's how I watched it since my streaming sites didn't have it yet.
