When MK's older cousin visits, a year has passed since she was shrunken by one queen and restored by the next. Even though it is a cousin she barely knows, MK is devastated with the news that illness is slowly killing her. However, a small Marigold Queen just couldn't let such sorrow continue and follows in Queen Tara's footsteps, intervening with fate by shrinking her. Ronin/OC

Mac's sole ire was for the damn Twinkies. He stomped the unopened pack, grinding sponge cake and cream into the blood splattered floor of the convenience store as he followed the stretcher toting his partner towards the red-lighted ambulance waiting for them beyond the shattered door. It was not the way he'd planned for them to spend Memorial Day.

The upside, Mac thinks, is that at least they'll have all their ducks in a row, all their eggs in the same basket, and every other idiom that he knows his partner is going to rattle off. A "quick" trip to Istanbul ends with MacGyver in enemy hands, and Dalton presumed KIA. Two weeks later, intel indicates a US operative is aiding the enemy. Rated T for graphic violence and language. And, at long last, this story is complete.

Ice Queen1 had a request. She wanted the story of how Mac became involved in the DXS and, if I could include the POW storyline of the first, un-aired, pilot that would be a bonus. So here it is. Mac and Jack, how they met and how they got involved with DXS.

Pre-Series. Mac finds himself in a unexpectedly dangerous situation and Jack must provide an unusual rescue.

This is a retelling of the classic series episode Faith, Hope, and Charity. Obviously things are going to be changed, but that's a retelling for ya! According to the Butterfly Effect, a single change has flow-on effects that make a world of difference. In this universe, the man who will become a reviled bombmaker known as The Ghost is killed in a car accident at the age of nineteen. Everything changes.

The team finds themselves on a mission on another train. It's supposed to be a simple job but things get a little more complicated when both Riley and Mac get hurt, leaving Jack to take care of both of them and the bad guys, on his own. When Mac and Jack are both injured on a mission, Mac and Bozer both come to realizations that there's a lot to the old saying that ignorance is bliss, and that although lies may offer a sort of refuge, the only safe haven any of them have is in the truth, and trusting one another.

Watching Scissors, this TINY little scene came to me. Just a Mac and Jack moment, where Mac is a tad bit upset with Jack, but Jack gets it.

So helloyesimhere wanted to do a fic exchange, which I'm totally down with. So in my story, Christmas Snow and Miracles A Glow I alluded to Jack and Mac's first time meeting and helloyesimhere wanted me to write about it. So here it is, complete with some Mac whump. Enjoy.
