Oh, I love this! You describe things so beautifully, the imagery and the emotion. I think it was stronger though when you wrote for the characters individually, rather than both at the same time. Still, I greatly enjoyed reading this, thank you for writing it. I agree leaving them longing was a good choice. I would absolutely love to see a prequel story.

I just love this! You should do something like a prequel fic, where it shows Ronin and Tara's childhood memories and their bond before she became Queen. I can't wait for the next chapter!

And I'm sure you'd be able to bring those two together. You could probably make Dumbledore visit them, see the love they share, and he could realize his real feelings for Minerva so it becomes MMAD :)
