Guest chapter 31 . 5/7/2016
Please please pleeeeaaassseee another sequel

I love your stories, and you are one of my favorite fanfiction writers, because you're SUCH a good writer. And that's saying something, considering I've read thousands of fanfiction stories (I read every night ) and I've only said that to two other fanfiction writers

You're amazing, keep up the good work ️

Man, Ronin, I feel you. Waking up on cloudy days is awful.
Thank you so much for continuing this story all the way to the end. I really looked forward to reading the latest update these past few weeks and it could be pretty calming after a stressful day. Sometimes. Barnet and stress are practically synonymous. It was a lovely story, though. Eben, Kendon, Finn, Carla ( I think ), and Orion were as engaging and well-written as the canon characters.
Anyway, hope you're enjoying your summer:) 'til next time.
Gib chapter 31 . 6/8/2015

Gib chapter 30 . 6/8/2015
This was such a fun chapter to read. Nods excitement really came out of the page and his reaction to each new discovery along with your description of the bed had me smiling the entire time. Awesome job.
Thanks for posting.

staringatstars07 chapter 29 . 6/6/2015
The fae have their own version of child services, foster care, and social workers... So, they favor magic, potions, and rudimentary tools over electricity, the prominent form of government is a matriarchal system that is passed down from queen to queen based on a merit, and yet most of their society and how it runs seems to directly reflect how ours runs in the real world. It's just strange how normal this is all beginning to feel despite it all taking place in a world inhabited by fairies.

I can tell you're doing a lot of research because you want this to be as accurate as possible, but I kind of think you don't have to be as accurate as you're trying to be. There should be some differences, things that would strike us as odd in our world but don't seem out of place here. As cool as it is to keep meeting these very fascinating fae, there are other creatures of magic in the Epic universe. I'm not trying to say you should change your outline, I just think that there is such a thing as too much research and maybe it'd be okay if you winged it a little.
Gib chapter 28 . 6/6/2015
I've been out of town and had a lot of catching up to do. It's great to see Nod speaking again, leave it to Ronin's friends to finally get the ball rolling. Way to go Orion. It's fun to see Finn and Orion interact with Nod, it seems like they're in on a secret and Ronin is completely in the dark when it comes to Nod and they're just letting Ronin find his way. The students become the teachers so to speak. At least that's the way I see it.
Reading this chapter, I had a funny thought. What with everything Nod has been through, poor Cheep Cheep has got to be looking a little worse for wear. I had a puppy that had a stuffed chicken. It was his favorite toy. After a while, you couldn't tell it was a chicken anymore. I bought him a new one but he didn't like it as much. Funny how small things bring back happy memories.
I love Tara and Ronin's interaction. I think Tara is in on the Nod secret too.
Thanks for posting, I look forward to the next chapter.

omg omg Could you, maybe, not kill Tara? This is already an Au, and I won't tell you what to do, but you did the subtle romance so well, and it would be so nice if they could be together (but - ugh - the foreshadowing) Plus, by the time the movie comes around, Nod and Ronin will be completely different people. Maybe something could change? Actually, will Nod still join the Leafmen? Originally, I think he joined because his father was one and Ronin could keep him out of trouble. Here, I wonder if Ronin wouldn't try to keep Nod out of the Leafmen. Just because he couldn't bare to see him hurt. "There are plenty of soldiers, but do we have enough Bread-making Leafmen? I don't think we do."
staringatstars07 chapter 27 . 6/4/2015
That was so sweet! I may have shouted a little when Nod started speaking. It's been a long time and sometimes it felt like I was more frustrated with his lack of progress than Ronin was. It's actually incredible how Ronin rarely thinks of himself when it comes to Nod. Even his desire to avoid tantrums sometimes came across as him just hating to see Nod upset.
Captain Orion figuring out how to get Nod to talk was so lovely to read. I liked how you made him the oldest soldier, with grandchildren of his own. It made him getting Nod to talk more believable, though I did wonder why Ronin outranks him. Anyway, thank you for updating this story. You're doing a wonderful job:)
Gib chapter 22 . 5/29/2015
What a great way to get Nod's feelings out so we at least know exactly what he's thinking even though Ronin still has no clue.
Glad to see Ronin got out the door without Nod going completely crazy. I'm sure Orla appreciated it too.
Another great chapter, thanks for posting!

Hm. Has the time of Nod bottling up his feelings come? I'd like to think this is a good sign, might different does not necessarily equate to good.
Gib chapter 20 . 5/27/2015
You write awesom dream sequences! Wow, didn't see that one coming.
I love it that Ronin got Nod to laugh, he's making progress and with Eben coming over, I'm hoping Nod will finally come out of his shell but we'll see.
Thanks again for posting on a regular basis... You are responsible for my insomnia BTW. I look forward to your updates but they come in right around midnight my time. I'm going to be totally bummed when this story is done.
Thanks again for posting.

staringatstars07 chapter 20 . 5/27/2015
I think we can all agree that Ronin isn't giving up Nod. Ever.
Gib chapter 17 . 5/25/2015
Ronin owes Orla a night on the town or a very nice dinner or something. Having to be around a screaming Nod for that long would wear on even the most saintly person.
When Nod comes out of this, I imagine everyone involved would like to sleep for a week. I got to spend time with my young Niece today for just a little while and she can run you ragged. Poor Ronin, he has to be exhausted.
Again, you build such great characters and have put a ton of thought into the world building aspect it really comes out on the page. It was not something I expected but I really like the thought of the Leafmen having apartments. It makes sense, kind of like base housing for the military.
Another awesome job, thanks for posting.
