Title: Mocha's and Strawberries

Rating: G

Monday's were for the majority of the working world a bad day, but for Jess it was a good day. She liked her job, felt she was doing something worth while. She liked the people she worked with, she could do without the dinasours, but she liked her work. Mondays also meant that she would get a venti Mocha with extra whipped cream and sprinkles. He brought her one every Monday, it started months ago when he lost a bet with her, and now every Monday he left one on her desk somehow knowing when she was going to arrive and it was always hot. They had odd bets with each other, it was how she got him to read Sophie Kinsella, and he got her to read biographies of generals. It was a bit of harmless fun that they indulged in, with what they did and saw everyday it was a nice break.

Jess had tried to figure out something that she could get him, that would make him smile, that lovely smile, and this weekend she found the perfect thing at the local market. The first of the season she remembered growing up how wonderful they tasted, she thought he would think so too.

Jess went to his office while he was in the morning breifing and left a bowl filled with strawberries on his desk, with a note "I always loved these".

Later when she saw him as he was heading out to chase chimps from some distant era, he leaned over to her and said, "Thanks". She smiled, and he laughed, but straighten when he saw Becker looking at him oddly.

"You know one day we will have to tell them about the bets," Matt said. Jess just smiled and said, "Good luck."
