Reviews for what's on the other side
bloodredcherry chapter 1 . 8/14/2019
Are you actually trying to kill me? I say that as a compliment, because had I been reading this alone, I would have been ugly crying. The only criticism I have is that Spike's immediate family weren't more involved. I know his mom was in Italy, but he did mention having a nephew.
Anyway, as someone who struggles with a chronic illness (nothing near as serious as this, or terminal), I know exactly how it feels to have people drop out of your life when it gets too hard. But the dynamic you have between Wordy and Spike is so heart wrenchingly perfect, especially considering what Wordy is dealing with himself.
Anyway, thanks for breaking me in half. You have a real talent - I look forward to reading more of your work!
Biichi-gi chapter 1 . 4/23/2015
Holy crap! Now that was a tear jerker! Good story but I am neither willing nor prepared to lose any of Team One, so...don't ever do this again, okay?

riveroad chapter 1 . 1/3/2013
I hate you - but I don't at all. Oh god, this is like possibly the most depressing and amazingly-written fic ever. I cannot. I mean, seriously. Every line, every turn of phrase, THE LAST FREAKING SENTENCE. I mean, I know we've talked about this before (I think? We did, right?) but like, every time I re-read it, I shake my head and think, "OMG, AMAZING" right before I'm rendered totally incoherent by your greatness. Ugh, so quit breaking my heart, okaythanksbye.
