Author has written 1 story for Harry Potter. For our purposes I'm just a guy who loves to read. I'd always said 'someday I'll write something of my own'. Of course I'm still feeding my present and future stories a steady diet of imaginative and diverse characters, settings, plots and twists... I'm always looking for the next great story. JK Rowling on H/Hr: "I tried very hard to soften it, I suppose. Just because someone had a view on Harry/Hermione didn't mean they weren't genuine, or that they were necessarily misguided. In fact, I will say this, Steve Kloves who has been the script writer [on the Potter films, who is enormously insightful on the series and a very good friend, after he read book seven he said to me, 'You, know, I thought something was going to happen between Harry and Hermione, and I didn't know whether I wanted it or not.' "I had always planned that Harry's true soul mate, which I stand by, is Ginny, and that Ron and Hermione have this combative but mutual attraction. They will always bicker, there will always be rough edges there, but they are pulled together, each has something the other needs. "[Kloves] felt a certain pull between them at that point. And I think he's right. There are moments when [Harry and Hermione] touch, which are charged moments. One when she touches his hair as he sits on the hilltop reading about Dumbledore and Grindelwald, and the moment when they walk out of the graveyard with their arms around each other." "Now the fact is that Hermione shares moments with Harry that Ron will never be able to participate in. He walked out. She shared something very intense with Harry. "So I think it could have gone that way." 2015-10-17 blah blah blah... I'll next update with chapters, that much I promise. 2016-04-03 ...and this makes me a liar. dammit. I cannot apologize enough, and I don't even have good news. Rant: After two consecutive editor-fails, I'm near calling it quits. I will officially retag "Jean" as 'on hiatus', which we all know means dead 90% of the time. I don't want this, however I Must have an editor to do good work. All I have to do is look at the negative reviews on the two chapters that I had no editor for. My point is that I don't want to just 'finish' Jean. Not badly, not half-heartedly and certainly not with more questions than answers. I posted my October 2015 update with hope in my heart because I had finally found an editor and we were working well together. Then he disappeared. I have no idea why, just 'gone. In the last several months I've searched for an editor in vain. Finally another candidate surfaced and we also seemed to be making progress. I was looking big picture, trying to get the steps to the ending lined out before writing chapters that would lead me astray. The good news is that Marta got pregnant - they'd been trying for years (best wishes miLady). Thus, no editor. Again. /Rant If there are any readers still out there that care about Jean, please contact me at majere4 @ gmail . com. That's all the news I've got. Blessings, Majerus |
