srtavolturi chapter 21 . 7/24
dear writer

i'm brazilian and my english is terrible, so sorry for any language error. For a week I have spent hours reading your stories - automatically translated, of course - and your writing, and universes are incredible. Thank you for making this experience possible, your works are better than countless books in the publishing market. I hope things are good there or better in the midst of this situation that everyone in the world is experiencing. But never give up on your dreams and writing, despite having a lot of bad people around the world and unemployed people who just want to make others hell, ignore them. Ignore those who speak ill of your work because they are jealous. I hope more of your stories will come, I will always be anxious. And good luck always.

E boa sorte sempre.

Just finished reading your oeuvre though I went in reverse order. Loved every story. Though they all share a common theme you gave each a sense of individuality that left me looking forward to every new tale. Though I’ve enjoyed many pairings in the end I’m a huge Harry/Hermione fan and you’ve given one the best and most consistent portrayals of their love that I’ve read. Thank you for writing and I look forward to any new work you may produce.

I have spent a very enjoyable few weeks reading all your works published here, and I want to express my appreciation. I am somewhat of an addict to the written word, and I loved your style and your imagination. And your writing keeps improving, I don't know how you do it. Thank you.

I'm really loving the new and improved version of this story! You can really see how you've grown as an author! I think this makes the last of your stories for me to read and I'm looking forward to your finishing of this one!

RFDN chapter 21 . 6/28
I will start this off with that this is an intresting story and very well written. There are some common tropes in this story that do annoy me but are well thought out for this story. One trope is something I have been reading as of late and feel has been overplayed in many fanfiction as of late, the level of education in the wizarding world.

I bring this up as many state that the skills and knowledge taught at Hogwarts is so far behind the curve in all subjects and by what we see in the books this is false.

Now History of Magic I can easily see the case for as this is a class where from what we are shown the teacher does not provide the necessary material to have their students reach the standards seen as O.W.L. (Ordinary Wizarding Level). Off screen from the books this might be done but from what was implied in the canonical story those who passed were those who self studied for the course.

The elective classes from what we have seen (only two classes out of five) the teacher at the time either was incapable of teaching the subject (divination) or was not able to at first properly create appropriate lessons (Hagrid). By the state of Arthur Weasley being the Ministry of Magics expert on muggles it is implied that muggle studies is a joke by our standards.

For the classes listed above we only see lessons up to OWL standards which are meant to teach people what is needed for day to day life in the wizarding world. This seems equivalent to a high school graduate level of education. In the other subjects we see this is actually apparent. General transfiguration needed for survival and daily usage, general charms for most common jobs both at home and work, lessons on how to brew common potions, knowledge on how to handle common plans for survival and normal life, and practical self defense for common threats like pests. We don't get much information about astronomy and it's uses in magic but again it would likely cover anything a productive adult should know.

NEWT's on the other hand seem much more specialized similar to a college education. Two things I feel the need to point out with NEWTS is that we never see seventh year classes but in Sixth year students are introduced to silent casting. From examples of graduates we see spells being effectively linked for greater effects. Advanced material referencing specialized skills for different career paths also begin to appear. NEWT classes are also the only level of classes where one can be denied the possibility of attending a course. JKrowling did not go into much detail around these courses as a whole but from the little we see these skills are nothing to scoff at.

Now before I am dinged for not mentioning this yes Snape was an unfair teacher and Defense against the dark arts was sabotaged by Voldemort to have inconsistent teaching.

Regarding Snape the only thing I can say about him is that honestly he should have never been given the job. He was brilliant and talented but from what we saw of his lessons he lacked the ability to teach his subject. This is a common issue for geniuses or proteges and can even be explained by Snape's first seen lesson where he mocks students for not being prepared on the first day rather than doing a general assessment and/or going over the basics for the first lesson before brewing. He could assign students the task of looking into the potion they would brew next class as homework and repeat this process with demonstrations of techniques and lectures during less strenuous potions.

The situation with Defense Against the Dark Arts was literally just sabotage.

I am not going to say Hogwarts is an amazing school. It has many issues of which one is that subjects that should be included for all students to survive in the non magical world are not touched in reality but the standard for most magical subjects are actually up to par with the real world equivalents.
