Meh. I don't understand why Ginny and especially Hermione are shying away from cornering Harry and demanding to know what the matter is. I mean, Hermione's done that before, several times, and never let one of her friends close himself to the rest of them for so long. And Harry, despite his bad mood or anxiety, never refused to talk to Hermione..

So, in short, you made what I thought she should have done: make their bound stronger and not think about Ron and Ginny or anything. They could be upset, but Ron would eventually come by and if he truly did love Hermione, he would have let her be with Harry, just like Snape did to Lily.
Ginny, i don't know how it would turn out to her, I truly don't. I can imagine she doesn't wanting to talk to both of them, but I don't know, she could turn out to accept and move on.

I have never commented on any story before, but this, this is another.
I have always hopes that Hermione and Harry would end up together on the original canon, but books passed by and I saw that JK wasn't going to make them a pair. I understood it would be impossible for her to put them together, but I saw that she lost some opportunities through out the series to make them love each other and after all of the canon story see the other as more than sister/brother relationship.

Honestly, the writing is ok, but your overall portrayal of Harry's love for Hermione and the sacrifice his willing to make to allow her to Live her life is really heartwrenching. Your premise for their love is why I ship them so, that they can't be because of how complicated it would make everything, like a more complicated Romeo and Juliet. Even though H/Hr is not canon, there are subtle hints that they did indeed love each other in canon, and its stories like this that make me tear up and hold on to the idea that they would find a way to to end up with each other, eventually.
