Ou you wonderful wonderful author...I noticed too late that this story remains unfinished and by the time I did I was just glad about every chapter still there to be read. I am really glad I didn't notice before because I would have never started it otherwise and I would have missed out on a lot.
You really made me feel for all of your characters. I cried with them, laughed with them (though they was far more crying than laughing), despaired and hoped with them.
You have a real talent for writing. Your choice of words is stunning. I think the chapter with Neville's eulogy and the re-building of the Prewetts wards had some of the best writing I have ever read in any fanfiction. I so hope you write your own stories. Do you? I must look you up.
The intertextuality of this story was just beautiful. I think I did fell in love with you a bit when you mentioned Titus and Marcus as Lucrezia Lavinia's brothers. Then I thought Portia really lost the plot.
Your words about American vs French vs Russian vs British literature made me smile. I do love Russian literature exactly for that reason.
There are too many moments I would like to mention but this comment would become way to long.
I hope you will find back to this story one day. I can understand the reluctance. There are so many threads still in need of untangling and it would take some time to bring everything to a satisfying end. But I really hope you do if you ever feel like you can make it.
This story is way to good to finish the way it does right now.
Regardless, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the time, effort, emotion and love you poured into this. If I just weren't as much of a hermit to find the right words/build such strong characters and if I just felt more comfortable with writing in English - this story would inspire me to start my own. And maybe I will just start to write for myself.

Nooooooooo i can’t believe this ending... the worst of it is that I had the feeling you would do this and yet a kept reading. I guess is testament to how much I enjoy your writing... but that endingI just wish that there was a continuation with a happy ending

This. This is the reason I repeatedly tell myself not to read incomplete (abandoned?) stories. Because when they’re So. Damn. Good, it is brutal to get to the end and not know how the myriad issues are going to resolve.

Your writing is extremely poignant. Hermione’s words about failure were incredibly powerful, and I teared up at Neville’s words for his father’s eulogy. Poppy’s support of Severus is incredible, and I appreciate Minerva’s measured, yet compassionate support of him and Hermione. I’ve also been on the edge of my seat about Hermione and Severus’ relationship. It’s absolutely tragic that they feel so deeply for each other, but that at least one of them isn’t healthy enough for any romantic relationship, and neither could healthily be in a relationship w the other as things currently stand.

It was captivating a captivating beginning, and I’ll cross my fingers that your muse for this story returns!

On my gosh, i had forgotten just how amazing it is! The superlative writing, the highest quality story, the powerful, adult relationship between Hermione and Snape, I am floored... I do hope that in this strange year, your faithful readers could hope, even if just a tiny bit, that you will be able one day, when Lady Inspiration is available, to pick up the story, and give our 2 heroes the resolution they deserve.
