Well, I am a 29 year old brazilian who reads too much fanfiction for his own good.

I am not a canon guy. In fact, I despise the canon pairings. J.K. Rowling can't write romance to feed a starving somali kid. I bet her gazillions of cash would do the job nicely, but that's not the point, is it?

If I don't like canon I do like pretty much everything else in the realm of HP fanfiction, with some exceptions:

- I don't like slash of any kind, though I have nothing against a SUPERBLY written story that has it. I have tumbled with one or two stories that fit this description.
- Coherence folks. As Seel'vor said in his profile, Ginny being the most promiscuous bint in Hogwarts history is possible. Hermione being one is not. Ron having the emotional IQ of Freud and spouting philosophy or mildly profound sentences? Care to enlighten me how in the world would anyone sane could possibly arrive at such a stupefying conclusion? I could ramble on and on, but I think you get the point.
- As a rule I don't like fanfiction with heavymetal violence: i.e. torture, rape, etc. Note the operative word: heavymetal. Used in a context of character development as a reference rather than an overly graphical desciption of the fact - I have nothing against it.

Finally, my comments on the last two books. Don't waste your hard earned cash to buy that toilet paper rag. In fact, toilet paper is cheaper, stick to it.

Even though I am Brazilian all my efforts are thrown in putting forth a story written in English for a couple of reasons: a) I already write quite well in my mother language and given my profession I hardly see the point of evolving through writing fanfiction in it; b) Coherence, text and plot development in a foreign language is a very nice challenge I think.

Bear in mind that it is a work of fiction and I know how difficult it can be sometimes, especially with the content inside that little one-shot. For the perverts out there, no, there is no sex in there, just an abnormal amount of violence (even if most of it happens "behind the curtains" so to speak). If you are under sixteen, please do not read, the rating is there for a reason. You have been warned.
